Great coffee and I love the vegan baked goods here but more importantly the atmosphere is perfect for work and studying! My go to place.

This coffee shop has the best atmosphere of all of the coffee shops I have been to in town. A great place to relax and get some work done! Plenty of space, room for a lot of people, curtains to block sunlight, dozens of outlets, and a lot of seating styles. They also have free water. This would be 5 stars for me, but the only drawback is that the coffee is overpriced. Much more expensive than the other shops in town. It is also kind of loud. The music can get kind of loud.

For pure skill and flavor : My favorite local coffee roaster. (Based on phoenix they get shipments.). Their flavor profile tends toward the light side, but not as light as Savaya. Extremely consistent: each bean is roasted unique to itself and they really shine in the fruity wild beans.

Love the openness here! The combination of the wood and metal gives a great industrial look. Combined with the lovely plants, I find it to be a very inspiring place to think, create, and be able to dive into some great work. Coffee is tasty, baristas genuinely friendly. They even have pizza! Parking was also available on the side streets.

What a great discovery (thank you Google!)! The coffee was superb - the milk was steamed to perfection, the microfoam was spot-on, and the blend was incredibly smooth. The service was amazing as well. Keep up the great work, everyone! I hope we can come back before we depart.

The ambiance and flavor have won out this five star review. When reading other reviews on this thread I understand that you might not want to wait ten minutes for coffee. However going to a coffee shop and enjoying espresso correctly is a way of life and an artistic experience. So as they say, you can’t rush Art. My latte tastes awesome. My 3 year old is happy. The vibe is on point. There is SOO much space to have a study party here and it’s comfy. I’m from California so the prices are exact. Remember, getting Starbucks, is not the same as getting coffee.

New hope for coffee houses! Cartel has discovered the secret recipe - fantastic coffee and edibles plus kind service. This place is definitely on the list for any true coffee explorer and lover. Their pour-over style coffee takes a bit of time to reach your salivating soul, however you'll be in nirvana the moment it does. And excellent pastries and cookies are here.

I used to live in Tucson but now only get to go to Cartel when I’m visiting family. I miss it so much-the coffee they serve is always amazing. If you get a latte the milk is steamed to perfection and the shots pulled just right. Their beans are also my favorite AND they often have whole bean decaf. The recent addition of their vegan pastries are the best I’ve ever had (I’ve been vegan for about five years and lived in many places including Southern California but nothing comes close to being as good as these pastries!). Some of the reviews mention that coffee should never be this expensive, etc but it IS great coffee and the prices aren’t much above other places that serve far inferior coffee. The employees are always nice and knowledgeable as well. I’d recommend getting Cartel as often as you can afford to if you are lucky enough to live nearby!
