I lived in Tucson for 15 years and I miss this bakery so much since I moved away. I'm hoping to have an opportunity to come back for a visit in the next few months and Mona's is at the top of my list for a stop on my way from the airport to condo! Amazing cinnamon rolls and pastries, and all of their bread is great! But for a special treat, try to catch them on a day when they have rye bread available.
My friend brought me to Mona''s today for lunch. My first time. The dessert case is so chockful of gorgeous pastries it should be on display in a museum! Simply stunning to look at. After a very tasty sandwich, we shared a brownie. The first forkful of chocolate started to melt in my mouth and a burst of flavor spread sweet joy across my tongue. Thankfully, my friend was talking at the time, so I could thoroughly enjoy the sensation. I may just go back every day this week to try a new pastry!
Without a doubt one of the cutest and tastiest pastries in town. Authentic favorites from the northern Europe, but also a touch of American options. I would always recommend the danishes, and keep hearing a lot of good things about their chicken salad. Located at the busy area, yet offers a calm environment. Lots of parking available.
Old world feel. Charming. Easy to find, plenty of parking. Nice selection. Almond cookie is delicious, as is the organic bread.
A lovely small business owned and operated by a fantastic and welcoming team. Popular with locals, they offer counter orders and they have indoor and outdoor seating available. The breakfast burrito was large and delicious. You MUST order some of their pastries to go, they are authentic, fresh, and packed with sweet goodness
Small family run bakery... great baked goods and great breakfasts and sandwiches! My sandwhich was around $13 but when I got it, it was large and came with chips. I ate half and saved the other half for later so I felt I got my money's worth!
I live just down the road from Mona's and it was so good. I got a veggie croissant and the croissant was nice and buttery. My boyfriend got the $10 breakfast and he said it was good as well.
We took 2 pastries to go, cheese Danish and a cannoli. The cheese Danish was AMAZING! The Cannoli had a really sweet cream in the middle and it was pretty good as well.
I will definitely be back here, and would recommend going to this bakery if you are in the area!
Visiting the area and stopped in for breakfast. Excellent food, pastries and service. The coffee is terrific! The staff is friendly. Seating inside or out and plenty of parking.
This was our first time. What a nice place to sit down and enjoy some great food. It's quiet and you can have a conversation. Great job Mona and family.
I've lived here 50 years and I know nearly every bakery, Mona's has the best pies along with everything she serves. But the pies are above all.
Good bakery/restaurant European style, so based on flavor not just sugar. Good coffee. Good service.
