I had the Moist Brisket, mac & cheese and BBQ beans...all so good! My husband loved the Tri-Tip and our friend raved about her order of pulled pork. Our server, Rudy, was excellent and very personable. This is one of the best BBQ restaurants in Tucson! They also give Military, Veteran and First Responder discounts. The only caveat is that they sometimes run out of some food items later in the day.

Great service and great food! Our server Shawna was excellent. My husband and I ordered the Big Q platter to share. All the meats are so tender. Good beans and fries. So much food! No complaints here at all!! We will definitely be back!

Heard great things about this place. Gave it a try today. 100% worth it. The fact that you can have your brisket cut the way you like it (If you know, you know). Pulled pork was actually pulled. Not diced, chopped or another quick make method. You can smell the smoke and the meat when you walk in. The aroma reminded me of some great places back in TX. The staff is amazing. Keri was our server. She made us feel right at home. This is a true family-ran small business that deserves business. Tried all their sauces (bought some to take home). Potato salad was great, needed no seasoning. The fries were incredible! Use the sauce and forget the ketchup. They take great pride in the food they serve and it shows. If you are visiting Tucson, it is a must try. If you live in Tucson, this should be a regular go-to on your list. The only downside to the visit was when we were done eating. Didn't want it to end! Thank you Keri and the crew. You made this Ole Texas boy have a great sense of nostalgia. Keep up the great work and I need to give a shout out to their Carolina Mustard. You gotta try it!

I went here during the weekend for lunch and it was about a 30 minute wait to get seated. I always take that as a good sign, however.
I ordered The Coyote sandwich with a side of fries. Despite the wait, the waitress was quick to take my order once seated. The food arrived extremely fast!
The barbecue was 10/10. It practically melted in my mouth!
They provide a selection of sauces at your table so you can taste test them all to find your favorite.
I will definitely be returning here. The prices are very good as well. I spent about $15 for some amazing barbecue. Definitely can't complain about that!

Phenomenal experience, tasty food, tender/flavorful meats, delicious sides, top notch service, very clean and well maintained restaurant, this is a hidden gem.
Went on Saturday night, party of 6 and the wait was no more than 5-10min, promptly seated, very clean floor and table, server was very warm and friendly, great menu recommendations. Menu was large, great BBQ options and sides. Our dinks were brought out quickly, food was not far behind, didn't feel like waited more than 15 min for food after we ordered. Food was accurate to what we ordered, cooked to perfection, server remained attentive for our entire visit. Prices were great, little lower than I expected which was a nice bonus. We will be back, can't wait to visit again, highly recommend Holy Smokin Butts BBQ. And our server, Colin, was exceptional. Well done!!

Good barbecue for the Tucson area. If you like me have been craving those down south flavors that you just can't get this far west look no further. The brisket here is top notch and the other meats are nothing to sniff at. I thoroughly enjoyed my pulled pork and brisket sandwich. The sauce selection is pretty good with both a sweet and a spicy option as well as mustard style for you weirdos out there. Will definitely come back when I'm craving BBQ.

Food was great, service was lacking. Salad did not arrive before dinner & server said they'd get it right away. It didn't arrive during dinner either. They gave it to go & it consisted of a little bit of lettuce thrown in a container. I doubt that is all their salad consists of.

Amazing! True Texas BBQ! Served dry, sauce your own if you like, Texas style. Everything was well smoked, moist & tender. Ordered the platter to try most of the meats... brisket, tri-tip, pulled pork and turkey. The 2 sides of your choice are very generous portions! Danielle was an excellent server and checked on us often. We'll definitely be back very soon!

This place is the real deal BBQ right here in the desert! I highly recommend. Ribs are so meaty and tender, the juiciest turkey breast I've ever had! 4 great sauces to choose from. I love the spicy and the Carolina mustard

This is the place is you want to throw down some serious BBQ. They have ribs, brisket, pulled pork, turkey, sausage, chicken and steak. Good sides, delicious looking deserts (was too full to try one myself) and cold beer on tap. The service was stellar and the food came out at record speed. Nice selection of house made BBQ sauce as well. Looks like they have a great take out business as well. We will definitely be back.

Great food and service. Texas style BBQ . We tried brisket, pulled pork and ribs . All lean to my preference except ribs which were a little fatty but tasted very good. Despite the sign at checkin that they were understaffed- be patient.. the service was good and prompt. Indoors was Texas bbq joint : clean but not too fancy.

Son Holy Smokin’ Butts is near where I work. And it was one of the first BBQ places I tried in Tucson and I thought it was only so so. I have had the best BBQ in the world I think traveling through Kansas, Tennessee, Texas, North Carolina, and my backyard.
So I am hard to please there. But a few months ago a friend and life long Tucsonian wanted to meet there for lunch. And suggested one of their burgers! OMG! Their freshly ground 1/3pound burgers are amazing. Maybe the best in Tucson.
On Wednesday they have smoked burgers.
Try a burger here you will not be disappointed

Awesome. Gavyn with the excellent customer service. The food was exceptional. Just my wife and I, our meal was 38$, but we had 2 margaritas and that put us to around 46$. The food, again, was on point. Will definitely visit again when in Tucson. Recommend.

Best BBQ in town without a doubt. All the meats are high quality and very tasty. I have a special place in my mouth for the mac&cheese. Frickin awesome. Only downside is they are closed Sunday and Monday. But hey everyone deserves some time off. Just means I gotta order the Family Feast and a rack of ribs on Saturday

For BBQ in Tucson it’s good. If you’re expecting TX or KC bbq, you won’t find it here. I got the Big Q platter, a little sampling of most of their meats. The turkey and pulled pork were dry, but they have sauces on the table if you like bbq smothered in sauce. The brisket was juicy (get the fatty pieces), and I didn’t need a sauce for it. Sausages and tri-tips were flavorful. Ribs weren’t fall off the bone, but not hard/over cooked. Baked beans tasted good as well, and I know I ordered their fries (for my toddlers), but can’t tell you how they were bc I didn’t try any.

This is a very open and inviting place so much room to enjoy your company. The food is to die for, and the brisket is the best. There is enough room for dancing and family friendly. Waiters are engaging and ready to bring you what you need.

First off, I'm from west Texas where the bbq is pretty darn amazing. My grandad had the best bbq restaurant ever, and nothing compares to this day. This, I have to say comes darn close and that is high praise, as anyone will tell you. I've been looking for good bbq; Brush Fire is just down the street, but just doesn't do it for me. I'll drive the extra couple of miles! Very worth It!

Finally, great BBQ in Tucson! Can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Literally THE best BBQ I’ve ever had, and yes, I’ve had Texas, Tennessee, Mississippi, Carolina, Kansas, and even Oklahoma BBQ. This meat didn’t even need sauce because their rub is on point, though their sauces are pretty great as well. Particularly the sweet one and the mustard one. Mmmmmm. The owners are extremely friendly as well! I’ve found a new favorite!!!

If you love BBQ you have to try them out. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who asks in the future! Their meat is smoked daily, nothing is ever reheated and is always fresh! The sides were also very good. I was pleasantly surprised to find that their potato salad was actually dill based instead of the usual traditional mustard variety that seems to be the norm around here. Very friendly staff and answered all of our questions. A very generous serving of food for a family of 4. Will definitely be returning here! Thank you!

To start with, this is the first review I have ever taken the time to post, ever. I am TEXAS Born and Raised. Enjoyed many a place all over Texas for many a years BUT was a return regular customer to only a few. It would not matter much to tell you how this place fits in with those few if you have never tried them. So I will say this, Good BBQ can be very hit or miss like most say about Tucson BBQ and it's true. Consistently Good BBQ along with the Friendly Owners who are Truly Passionate about bring'n Quality BBQ to your table is what makes Holy Smokin' Butts the place that makes me a regular customer. Think about this, if you have only "heard" of "those" BBQ places in Texas, you should try this one out. Tucson has one of those places! I could describe how Good each item is... but why ruin the surprise.

Without a doubt, the best BBQ in town. PERIOD! I’ve traveled down south several times and this is as close to southern BBQ that you will get. No frills. No gimmicks. Just amazing, delicious smoked meats and a couple of side options and you are set. The way that BBQ is supposed to be.
