Just the best veal marsala I've eaten. Impeccable service, great wine list, great food. And the desserts....wow.
We are so happy to find this downtown gem. The Italian food is as authentic as it gets considering some spices and ingredients are not available here. The dishes are meticulously prepared with all the love and attention you'd expect. La Fufi is the culinary expert/chef and her husband, Alfredo, the Sommelier. The food-wine pairing is unparalleled. This restaurant is truly a family affair with their children Immanuel and Erin serving. The service is European down to the core. Unrushed, and perfectly timed. Linger if you like. We just attended our second Tour of Italy dinner and can't speak more highly of our experience. If you yearn for authentic gourment Italian fare at reasonable prices, this is your place. What a wonderful evening my wife and I had at Caffé Milano. They have an elegant new dinner menu with plenty of vegetarian options, plus the romatic ambience was just what we needed as we were winding down from a stressful work week. Beautiful plating and fabulous Italian wines to choose from. A true Italian gem.
This authentic Italian restaurant is our go-to place downtown. La Fufi, the owner/Master Chef creates wonderful tasty authentic Italian dishes. The superb menu is complimented by an equally superb wine list. The house salad is an incredible mix of tastes, and the desserts are extraordinary.
Truely Italian restaurant, with an Italian owner and chef who was kind enough to talk with us over dessert. Firm pudding with fresh raspberries hit the spot, and the tiramisu was delicate and light. Dining space is a little older / not the fanciest, but the focus is on authentic, quality food.
My husband and I went about 2 months ago. We sat outside which was nice. We could tell immediately that this was a family operation. Our waitresses were very nice and checked on us several times. The chef owner even came to our table to make sure we were happy. We didn't want a big meal as we were going to a concert. We enjoyed some very good wine and terrific salads with bread. We will definitely return. This was on an early evening and the place was packed. Support local!!!
Had a great experience , the staff is absolutely great, polite, knowledgeable. The food exceeds expectations, wonderful taste, , perfect preparation of the pasta, mussels in a great spicy tomato sauce, every dish was prepared with care, Lasagna is to die for,Did not have a dish which we did not enjoyed. Pleasant atmosphere and the family who runs the restaurant is charming. Would recommend to everybody.
Best takeout experience in Tucson!
Ordered the chef’s special, the caprese salad and a house salad for 2! Super kind and helpful on the phone and understanding of my grandmother’s request for pickup curbside. This was my first time ordering from here and she hadn’t been in years and we will both be back shortly. NEW FAVORITE RESTAURANT— and that’s coming from someone who grew up with Sicilian grandparents who know how to make good Italian food!! So delicious!
My wife and I came in after doing a Google search. Initial impression when walking in was that it's clean, smelled great, and wait staff was very pleasant. All smiles. We sat down and our waiter (can't remember his name), told us about the special of the day. He let us review the menus and got my wife her wine. She loved it. The food was out out to us in under 20 min. It came hot and was very, very good. Serving size was just right for me (I'm 5ft7 235). Overall very great experience and will be returning again in a few weeks when back from business.
Good food, decor was a little odd but the food is what matters. Gave them 4 stars because of the prices with the meals. But the staff was friendly. Great selection of wine, and a good desert menu. The menu said Summer 2018 selection, s needs a little updating with small details like that. But it is a good visit.
Most exceptional dining experience from the moment you walk in the door. The ambiance and kind staff set the mood. The food was above and beyond expectations, as we love to create the Italian classics with our family. Thank you for a memorable tastebuds adventure!
Stopped in here with some friends one night for dinner. This is a great little restaurant. The food was very good and the atmosphere was great.
My only complaint is the time we spent there. I was not expecting fast food, I realize many of the dishes are made to order, but many people came in after us ordered and got their food before we did. We were not in a rush and we were having a great conversation, but if we were going to the concert at the Fox theater next door that night we would never have made it. Plan to be there a fair amount of time (~2 hrs).
