Was in Tucson visiting a friend and heard about Barrio Bread so we had to go. Got in line about 15 mins before they opened and it was worth the wait! So yummy! Wish we could have tried everything. Only disappointment was they sold out of everything bagels.

Fabulous bread! We stayed at La Paloma for a couple days. We heard their bread was great, so we drove out of our way to buy 3 loaves and bagels. Absolutely delicious! In a state where finding great bread is tough, Barrio's is a must stop before you leave Tucson. It's a reason to DRIVE to Tucson!

It's a grab and go bakery. I can't rate the atmosphere. They made the best bread I've ever had. I LOVE their cranberry walnut bread. The Einkorn was also good. I can't stop munching on their bread. Very fresh, subtle, chewy and tasty. There's always a long queue by the time the store's open. Super good 👍

Long line before opening. Rotating daily and seasonal menu do fresh breads. The owner was very knowledgeable about what bread was best for which type of meal. Great service. The bread was absolutely phenomenal. I ordered the pain levain. Crispy nice crust. Delicious bite. Springy and great texture. This is the bread of dreams. I will be back to try of if their other specialties. They are open 9-1 or until they sell out and definitely worth the wait. The line moves fast. So I recommend coming early. Popular place with locals and definitely worth a visit

Bread so good you don't want to wait til you get home before you start enjoying it! We popped by after the morning rush and were still able to get all the loaves we wanted, including pain au levain and a Tuesday special loaf with cranberries. Of course, after that we immediately drove to the grocery store to stock up on butter!

We tried the Cranberry Apricot bread while visiting Tucson in June. I can’t stop thinking about how amazing it was! It’s legit worth a trip back to Tucson just for the bread at Barrio alone. There’s a reason there’s a line and it’s absolutely justified. They know what they are doing!

Incredible find in Tucson !! Tried the Rustic Olive - so light and hearty. Can’t wait to try the rest of them. Update - tried Walnut cranberry bread, Rustic nine grain, and Rye bread - just awesome 😋

Tucsonans are lucky to have this bakery with the best breads for many miles around. Languages from all over the world can be heard from people making the effort to visit and sample the baked goods in this shop. I was impressed that award winning baker and owner Don Guerra is found works in his shop front and graciously spends time with his customers. One of the reasons for Tucson's distinction as an UNESCO City of Gastronomy!

I’ve read about this place in my hometown for years, but now living in Northern California didn’t have a chance to try it until two weeks ago while visiting relatives. I’ve wasted years. This bread is phenomenal. I bought four varieties as we left town, devoured a baguette in the parking lot, then began rationing the others as we drove home. I would drive there weekly for this bread, and I don’t usually eat bread. It is so good, even the loaf I froze and later thawed to get home. Do not miss this Tucson treasure.
