I just visited Poland about a month ago and was craving some of the excellent cuisine I experienced there. The Polish Cottage did not disappoint one bit. Cozy & quiet environment with friendly staff, and the food tasted great. Kudos and continue being exceptional. 💯
Food was excellent on this Friday evening. The staff and server, were very kind, sincere and helpful. We loved our server. She helped us make decisions on beers, main course and dessert. Originally from upstate NY, I have had my fair share of homemade pierogi and golabki. The food here was excellent. The potato pancakes were crisp on the outside and tender in the middle. I ordered the pierogi, half beef, half sauerkraut and mushroom. They were fantastic and served the most elegantly I have ever seen pierogis served. The flavor was great, they were perfectly done. I highly recommend the Warka Strong beer. Not only was it a very nice uncomplicated beer, it perfectly accompanied my main course. As for dessert, the apple cake with vanilla ice cream was delicious. The cake was very light and warm and was delicious on its own, the ice cream brought it to another level. It has been 3 years since I had last eaten at Polish Cottage. They made some good decisions with the remodel of the space and have set up a nice and simple homey design. It is a very nice little place to eat with excellent food, good prices and a very helpful and friendly staff. Go try it out! its hard to get Polish food this good in this part of the USA.
Unbelievably GREAT SERVICE !! Hands down the best server we have ever had - anywhere. 9/10/2023.
Borscht is not available until November. We will be back. (The beet soup did not do it for me/was good.. just really wanted the Borscht!!
And on Sunday night — of course the pickle soup had run out.
We will be back !! Everything else was delicious.
Yummy, this food was top notch! Everything came out hot and fresh. The cucumber salad was delicious and I don't even like cucumbers that well! The dessert pierogis were fantastic. The waitress was very friendly and polite. The restaurant has such a cute charming feeling. Everything was clean. I would come back here. If you like Polish food then this is definitely a place to come eat at! They also have a bar that you can sit at. It is a bit on the pricey side.
Dropped in for lunch. Authentic Polish cuisine cooked just right. Delicious sausages, sauerkraut, pierogies, golabki and other favorites. I'll be back for more soon!
Yes! Omg yes! So we are from the East Coast and since moving here we have yet to find a restaurant that can match this… so unbelievably great! My daughter and I were shocked at how much food there was and how authentic it was that we will definitely be back!! Great job!
It's a special day for my beautiful bride so she got to choose. We enjoyed the casual cultural ambiance of Polish Cottage. This little spot of Eastern Europe was a surprise to me, located on Broadway just west of Swan.
Our waitress, Jana, was very pleasant and welcoming. The dining room is rather small, cozy as opposed to tight. The menu is large, the variety is far more than I expected. The premise of Polish Cottage is traditional Polish country cuisine; simple, filling, tasty.
They have done that.
My bride had a Combo meal. That's two pierogi ( a kind of dumpling filled with potatoes and cheese, beef, Sauerkraut and mushrooms), pork and rice stuffed cabbage, a small sausage and Hunter's stew. She says the stew was unique, tangy and very tasty. The pierogis had bacon and carmalized onions as well. She is very pleased with the meal.
I had the veal breaded cutlet, two potato pancakes and a small smoked sausage. The veal was tender, the potato pancakes were crispy just like my Mom used to make. I especially appreciated the small serving of apple sauce as a condiment. I grew up with it, but it's disappeared from the American table.
For desert, I had an order of two crepes. My beloved had apple cake. To the uninitiated, apple cake is a fusion of cake and a moist strudel, very fruity and warm served with whipped topping. I tried some and it warmed me all over. This would be terrific in a cold Tucson evening. My crepes were warm and crispy, full of a mildly sweet curded cheese. They put a creamy strawberry topping and dressed it all with generous dollops of whipped cream.
Soooo good!
Polish Cottage is dressed in rural Polish style, very charming. It's a wonderful change from the typical Tucson eateries and a nice retreat to a place and culture that is more relaxed and less stressful. I highly recommend it.
The food is definitely authentically Polish, in particular the smoked sausage is absolutely fantastic, and the perogies are also quite good. The overall restaurant is a sweet little place, and I'll definitely be coming back to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommended it.
Fantastic Polish menu, I personally tried the progression and Polish sausage 😋. Just wow. I don't have the words to describe the pleasure my taste buds encountered. Excellent quality, taste and variety at a price that is most affordable. The service was exceptional and personal. I will return often and frequently.
This place was absolutely 💯 delightful! Dulce was an extraordinary waitress! She made amazing drinks and was so kind and wonderful .I would recommend this place a million times over again!!The food was outstanding!!
