Guy Fieri’s Diners Drive-Ins and Dives perfectly summed this place up, though ironically we did not get to try the sausages made famous by that episode…story to follow. This is a simple (unassuming as another reviewer put it) restaurant tucked away in a strip of businesses on Tucson’s northwest side. We visited for an early lunch and it was fairly quiet. We were greeted by the owner and namesake, Chef Alisah. We perused the menu and chose the sausages and meatballs along with an appetizer. The funny thing was when he returned to take our order. We had taken about ten minutes to decide. When we ordered, he looked taken aback and asked how we could order this after looking for so long. He then went on to explain we cared so much what we were to order, we should try his best dishes. He recommended a stroganoff-esque dish in lieu of the sausages. You can tell this man wants the best for his customers and is proud of what he does. The rest of the menu looks amazing and prices are fair. Our food was great. We got an appetizer of bread with two dips. The “stroganoff” was excellent. The meatballs were also wonderful. We also tried a Slovenian soda called Cockta, which was like an herbal Coca Cola. I can’t say I’ve ever had Slovenian anything before, but this was a great drink. As we finished up, I looked up a story about Alisah. I learned he’d survived camps during wars in the Balkans. He worked extremely hard to get to the point of opening this restaurant. Overall, this will be amongst the most memorable dining experiences ever.

This is an unassuming restaurant with really great food! I tried the meatballs and they were outstanding. The tomato cream sauce was just right! I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you're looking for something that is NOT franchise food!

Tried this restaurant for the first time and absolutely loved the Sarma /stuffed grape leaf appetizer! We also tried the Bosnian style goulash and gyros and they were good as well!

This place has some of the best food that I have eaten in a while! It is especially great for a carnivore like me. We got 4 plates (one was an appetizer) for six of us and still have leftovers. The only disagreement we had was which dish was the best. Though, it seemed like each thing was better than the last.

This restaurant is awesome, it's very homey and the food is wonderful every time. I've never been disappointed, the family that owns it is very sweet and hospitable. I'd never had Bosnian food before and now I wish I could have it more often 😃 highly recommend.

We ordered this for takeout and let me tell you this place is amazing if you are a meat lover, this place is definitely for you. They have about four vegetarian options, but the vegetarian prices are between 15 to 18 bucks. They do have unassuming flavor and if you use the bread and dip in the tzatziki sauce, definitely a game changer. My boyfriend is a meat connoisseur, and he loved that they had different options for meat to include chicken euro and sausages. I am only knocking a star because the sausages were pink in the middle and are definitely an acquired flavor. If you like that then 5 stars. Their rice is amazing and flavorful! The cabbage they have is truly seasoned well and made me come to like veggies. Definitely will re order!

The best Bosnian food in Tucson hands down! We drive an hour every once a while just to have dinner here! We highly recommend their Cevapi, Gulash and Tufahije (stuffed apples) yum! The owners are the nicest people ever!

The food is amazing! The food is home cooked by the Chef and his family. Reminds me of my travels in Europe. Try the Sarma or goulash, and have the baklava for desert.

First time there. Family restaurant. Food was excellent. I had the goulash and a kaffa (like Turkish coffee).
