Currently my favorite restaurant. I don't give many 5 star reviews. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could. Too bad I live nowhere close to Tuscon, and I've only made it here twice for lunch. I just cannot emphasize enough how good the dishes are. Order something you don't like, just as a challenge, and you'll probably end up loving it. The menu is small, and one of the choices will be a chef's selection of three menu items. Do this. Have your partner do the same and you will have 6 different dishes to share. You will both be stuffed, and for not a lot of money. Chips and the best salsa ever are served before the meal, and that's the only thing this place has in common with other Mexican restaurants I've tried.
Cafe Cosa Posa seems to be a very well-liked restaurant from diversity of people I know. It was recommended to us while we visited here but our first time eating at Cafe Posa Cosa was when we moved.
We love having the chef the pick out the dishes and surprising us with the food. But the last time we ate here we picked our dishes ourselves because we wanted to eat the two types of asada dishes they had.
Cafe Posa Cosa is a must visit for any food lover in Tucson.
I love the food here (last came for my birthday). Everything I've had at Cafe Poca Cosa has been delicious. Menu changes daily - chef/owner does a great job of creating delicious meals. If you want a surprise or don't have a particular hankering, I recommend the chef's special where three of the menu items are chosen for you.
Omg... best recommendation ever! Everything here on the menu sounds amazing! And they have the opportunity to let you try smaller portions of 3 different dishes. So my manager and I both chose that option. Amazing choice. Everything was absolutely perfect! Loved it here
This place has some of the best Mexican food in Arizona. The menu really reminded me of going out in Mexico City. Wonderful variety of dishes. I especially enjoyed the oaxacan chocolate sauce. Delicious. The staff is also great and adds to the lovely dining experience.
A unique and romantic experience you won't find anywhere else in Tucson. If you've never been there before, get the Plato. It's the chef's mix of a few different dishes on the menu. The service is excellent and the staff is very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend making a reservation because the place is always busy.
Had our 20th anniversary dinner at this place tonight and it was truly a great experience. From the perfectly dimmed lighting to the most attentive service ever, your place did not disappoint in any way. The food was amazing too. I just wish they didn't put 10lbs of lettuce on both of our plates. Lol. Had the Chef's Choice and some white sangria.
What a cool spot! I went when I was in Tucson back in September and it was on my to do list when we were around for New Years but sadly (for me) they were closed for the holidays. This place is delicious food with a cool model for how they do their menu. I let them surprise me with the combo plate and I was blown away. We also did the margarita pitchers which were tasty and fruity. Perfect place for a bigger group because everyone can get something different and delicious!
The food here is in a league all it’s own. This is Mexican food elevated to an art form. Large portions, gorgeous presentation and a well designed ambiance really make Cafe Poca Cosa a wonderful place.
Hands-down, the best Mexican Restaurant I have ever been to. My favorites are any of the tamale pies. Always, always, always get the Plato--it is the chef's choice of 3 entrees from the evening's menu, and the best way to enjoy as much as possible!
