Cake Tahoe

Not to many bakeries can produce a flaky ,tasty pastry crust special in high altitudes. Their products are all first rate. Sat outside on the tiny back porch. Can't wait to go back they were in the middle of a remodeling. A little difficult to find due to the fact it's on the other side of the rail tracks. So worth the effort. I plan my arrival and departure from the area with their store hours si not to miss out.

Tired of that soulless Tartine vibe and exclusive line ups? This is the quintessential neighbourhood bakery, if you live in paradise (which this maybe is). Everything tastes like it's made with love, artistry, and crazy talent. From special occasion cakes to the world's best ham and cheese croissant and everything in-between. And if you're a potatoes person, eat all the potatoes in the connected kitchen space next door. Breakfast, brunch, lunch, life happiness.

On par with French croissant 🏆 Born and raised in NYC realized while traveling North America and abroad not all food is created equal with love and care. The chocolate croissant is the best I’ve ever had. If ya buy one suggest eat it over a plate or where the flakes can fall to the ground. Messy decadent goodness. Recommended as a stop by Youtuber @NikkiDelventhal learned of this quaint shop. While driving across country it isn’t far from Fernley, NV along the way to see family. Recommend, if you want fresh Challah bread or others. All ahead. These sell out. I will my next trip out 🥳 Parking is a challenge when busy. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Because of so many patrons filling seats didn’t take photos of the indoor set up. Lots and lots of chill spots to enjoy. There’s so many delightful options. Something for everyone 😋 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️💯

I ran across this bakery in Truckee and picked up a chocolate croissant and a vanilla bean pull apart. The chocolate croissant was hands-down the best I’ve ever ever had. So flaky and huge and chocolate was decadent. The vanilla bean pull apart which I saved for the next day was still fresh and unbelievably amazing. Probably the best pastry I’ve ever had in my life!! Friendly staff as well.

I am genuinely so impressed with the service and quality here! I called last-minute looking for a gluten-free cake option, and within 30 minutes they had the perfect cake ready to go with a custom note on the top. I was also shocked at how DELICIOUS it was, especially for being gluten-free. Probably one of the best chocolate cakes I’ve ever had. The staff was super friendly and efficient. Couldn’t recommend more!

Awesome cakes and great service!! We got a customized strawberry & blueberry with vanilla cake for two friends birthday. The cake looks simple, but it tasted amazing. They also went out of their way to make some custom cupcakes from scratch for one of us who had gluten, dairy, and coconut (a popular dairy replacement) allergies. Awesome service on the phone & email to accommodate our very specific requests. Couldn’t recommend highly enough :)
