We went there to get the Poki bowls and sushi. I highly recommend getting the Southwest sushi roll and the Hurricane roll. They were both great and contemplated going back for more the very next day!

Our favorite Sushi restaurant in Tahoe! Family who owns it is awesome and food is devine! Our favorite chef is Michael Herrera! Favorite rolls are Shaner, Hurricane, southwest, Maui wowie. Don't waste your time anywhere else!

Small restaurant. Good food. Overall impression: most dishes are sweet flavored.
-Asian Brussels: roasted Brussels with sweet flavor
-Poke nachos: fried nachos and poke, good
-Shrimp and vegetable tempura: a large plate that can be shared. Various selection of vegetables
-Dragon roll: imitation crab slices on top is sweet flavored.
-Southwest: ahi roll with sriracha sauce, a bit strange to me

Good, classic sushi joint. They have a bar, which is nice, and they have good fish. They don't have snapper tho... Which is really a heart breaker for me. My wife and I had a great time.

Sushi was fresh and the sushi chef was awesome! Highly recommend. The lady in front wearing a white fluffy hat was rude but that didn’t take away from the good food.

Amazing service, very fresh sushi and fun, local atmosphere. We had three special rolls and loved them all but the Dragon here has always been my favorite.

We LOVE Maki Ali! After many visits over many years I'm finally reviewing! The choices here are good and the fish quality and freshness is incredible. Our experience tonight was wonderful, as usual, and it was so cool to learn that a longtime chef is now the owner! Thank you for a fantastic family dinner out!

Very friendly sushi joint with a small town feel. Pleasantly surprised by the flavor combinations of some of the rolls and the tempura is super crispy. Try the shark bite, Ham solo and definitely sit at the bar! We’ve been rewarded with a free drink each time we’ve been there!

This place is great! Already enjoyed the inventive flavors and very fresh and tasty food. But these guys went the extra mile - when part of our takeout order was missed, they sent a staff member out to our house to hand deliver the rest, and even threw in a free drink. Thank you so much to the MakiAli staff for your excellent service, helping us enjoy our meal even when we couldn’t eat in the restaurant!
