Every single time I go back to my hometown I make my first stop at Monarcas Restaurant. Most of the staff have been there since the beginning and everyone is so polite and constantly check on you. The food is awesome but when I go it's for one thing, the chimichanga. I have ordered this dish at other restaurants but hands down there's only one winner and it's Monarcas. I always have to carry part of it home because it's just so much. If you're ever in Troy, Al. Definitely stop by, you won't be disappointed.

The food was amazing! I can't figure out why Rodeo's is busier 🤔 I have eaten at both and Monarcas is much better. I will definitely be eating here again. You owe it to yourself to try this place out.

The food is very good but the seating is small. If you're the kind of person who likes a little elbow room in a group of 4, you're going to be frustrated.

This time the food was good but nothing to get wet over. The waiter I had, an older gentleman took my order, brought my food and never showed up again until I was at checkout, he brought me the check. I saw all the other servers moving around, taking care of their customers. I guess mine thought the tip wouldn't be big enough to worry about with only one person. He was right.

Excellent food and very hospitable staff. I had the enchiladas al carbon and I had to dig in before taking this photo. It was delicious! The queso was a perfect compliment for this to-go meal. Will definitely be back again!

Hands down some of the worst Mexican food I have ever had. Fajitas were very tough with a horrible flavor.
