Love the Hungry Drover! Have frequently visited and love the breakfast and lunch! Bridgette is the sweetest! Most recently had them cater a family party and everyone raved about the food. They were so great to work with from beginning to end! Thank you John! Highly recommend!!
Best mac and cheese around- just like my mother used to make on the farm. Love this place. Some are saying it is slow here , but it is worth the wait. I can't wait to go again and I bring family here when they visit.
Wow, this place is so good! Go early. It's farm to table so sometimes they run out of certain menu items.
I like that this place is locally-owned and sources its food from South Carolina. I've not tried a lot of fried green tomatoes yet, but so far, this place has the best I've tried. Good experience!
Edit: This time around, I tried their bacon tomato pie! Very good!
Omg. I know everything they make is good, but the burnt tips are AMAZING. they're like a cross between steak tips and pulled pork. If it's on special again, GRAB IT
Amazing!!! Surprised & impressed with this little roadside cafe!
One of the best breakfasts I've had in a long time!!
Can't wait to go back. Our 3 meals - the must have Southern Benedict (pictured), the French toast with sweet marbled bread, and their thick, fluffy pancakes.
Hungry Dover is hard to explain it's like a Food truck in an old corner grocery store front. The line is from the door to the order counter. The choices are posted get there early as favorites do sell out. It seems to be communal dining that working. Have a good GPS as it's not on the beaten path
What a splendid surprise my family took me to today. This small and old country store restaurant is absolutely amazing. They have baked french toast, waffles, any style eggs and much more. I got the "Southern Benedict" platter and it was delicious. Go there and don't miss out.
The food was just okay. The bacon was way overcooked and our order took a long time to come out considering that we ordered an omelet and waffle. It was freezing inside. The ceiling fans were on high even though it was only 60 degrees outside. I might try lunch sometime, but breakfast was meh.
After driving by many times, we finally got the opportunity to stop in and enjoy breakfast at The Hungry Drover. The staff was extremely nice, helpful, and attentive. We order two hungry drovers with bacon AND sausage, and their yummy homemade toast. We also ordered French Toast. The food was perfect, and the bread was like no other. Homemade and delicious. We had regular coffee and they did a fabulous job keeping it filled. The French Toast we took home and it was decadent! We cannot wait to come back for a second visit & try their Friday night supper.
