Apple Valley Cafe Express

It's been a while since I've stopped here. The food is always good at the cafe and there's always something good in the general store. This time I just bought some taffy and popcorn and looked around a little. Everyone is nice here and I've got to stop here again, soon and get a couple of t-shirts that I found.

Excellent! Very friendly staff and delicious food! A bit pricey, but it was great! The only weird thing is you seat yourself but there’s no menus on the tables so you have to go to the register, get a menu, go to your seat to figure out what you want, then go back up to the register with the menu to order. But, it works.

The food is AMAZING! The staff is so welcoming and friendly. The atmosphere is incredible. Sit on the porch and enjoy the beauty of the mountains, serenity of the birds singing in the distance, and the smell of the smoker as the meat cooks. The chicken salad is homemade and so are the friend apple pies. Put this one on your list of must visit destinations!

We went to a festival and stopped last minute to eat here. The most friendly small cafe. We ordered burgers and fries. The sidewinders (fries) might be the best fries I have ever eaten. Delicious! The burgers were good but nothing special. We will definitely eat there again but try different sandwiches, maybe BBQ, it looked yummy. The loaded potato salad was really good. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

We happened upon this after all the restaurants in the area were closed due to days off or staffing issues. This place was amazing. You can eat inside or outside. The staff are masked if you are worried. The food is awesome. The outdoor seating area is comfortable and very clean. The shopping is decent. Katlin was super friendly as was the rest of the staff. The Mac and cheese is so yummy. I feel like folks might overlook this place but don't! Stop and enjoy.

One of my new most favorite restaurants… the Apple Valley Mountain Village & Cafe!!! The food and the service was excellent! To be honest, I thought I’d eaten here before, and didn’t think too much of it, but when I ate there earlier this month, it was outstanding! Like, my picky kids are EVERYTHING on their plate, and so did I!!! The fries are excellent too! By the way, if you’ve never been to Townsend, ya need to go for a visit! So beautiful and so peaceful most of the time… it’s one of my favorite places on earth! It’s a little camping community, but there is river rafting, mountains to hike, historic Cades Cove, Wears Valley and many other things to do and experience even if you don’t camp (like me… I don’t camp!)!!!
