Capitol Burger

I typically don't have high expectations for restaurants in small towns, but this spot blew me away. My husband and I shared: - Mac N Cheese Burger - Mushroom Blue Burger - Fries I think these are the best burgers I've ever had. My personal preference was the Mushroom Blue Burger, but both were fantastic. The fries are great too. They're usually somewhere near their location on Yelp/Google Maps, but check their Facebook for where they'll be that day. There were no tables to eat at when we were there, but they told us we could use the picnic tables at a market just down the street. My only regret is not getting another burger. You need to go here if you're visiting Capitol Reef.

Amazing burgers. We tried the pastrami burger, bacon cheeseburger, and the Mac and cheese burger. All were great. The pastrami had thick slices of pastrami and a nice Russian sauce. The bacon cheeseburger felt fresh with a large slice of iceberg, cucumber, and tomato. The mac and cheese was the best Mac and cheese burger I have had. Often with mac and cheese burgers, there is not enough flavor and the Mac and cheese does not easily stay on the burger--not so in this case, the Mac and cheese had a strong cheese flavor with green chili giving it a slight heat, it also stayed together in the burger.

What a gem! The burgers are on the pricey side, but they really are delicious, especially after a day of hiking. We tried the mac & cheese burger, bacon cheese burger, and the mushroom bleu. We split them to try each, and I'm so glad we did. The buns are really high quality, brioche style buns, and it makes such a difference! And the patty is top-notch. I don't often eat a burger and feel like I really appreciate the patty itself, but this one really stood out for all the right reasons. The mac & cheese burger had really mild green chilies in it, and it was the perfect touch. It certainly isn't spicy, but made for a dynamic bite. The mushroom bleu was delish! They don't skimp on the toppings at all so you get plenty of cheese and mushrooms. The fries were pretty standard fair, but they were crispy and golden, so no complaints.

Wow... Really great burger and probably one of the best things to eat in this sleepy town. It's a burger truck and no seating but there's a small lawn just next to it or tables in front of the store. They have crazy combinations of burgers and they are all super tasty. My favourites were the pastrami and pork ones, the mushroom one was a little too salty.

Visited on October 19 2021. Stopped by after completing hikes at Capitol Reef National Park. Small food truck with limited burger options with sides and drinks. Both the staffs were friendly and gave us option to choose “Impossible burger” because they were out of Mushroom burger. To my surprise the burger was neatly packed, and the taste was good. Fries was fresh and crispy. They can provide more options/varieties for burgers that will be helpful for “Everyone” just being inclusive 😊.

Wanted to hit this truck up for a burger today but we were a bit early. Decided to stop down the road and do a quick hard cider tasting while we waited. The guy that gave us the cider tasting recommended the Capitol Burger truck as a must do. We laughed that we were headed there next. Once we were done we headed to the truck and ordered a bacon cheese burger with fries and a mac and cheese burger. Both were absolutely fantastic. My favorite was the bacon burger. It was juicy with tons of flavor but not greasy. Fries were not to be missed either and... they had fry sauce. Coming from Idaho this is a must. Lol. Burgers were great. Service was friendly. Easy to find. I am hitting this truck up again! You should too. One of the best burgers ever. 🍔

My wife and I agree that these were the best burgers we've ever had. I had the mushroom burger and she had the traditional cheeseburger. Both incredible! I knew we were in the right place when we walked up and the chef/owner was cutting up his own beef to grind. The fries were great too! If you're in Torrey or the Capitol Reef area, don't pass this place up. Great food and friendly service too!
