Nick’s is the best kept secret! It is located next to the OTB in the Timonium State Fairgrounds. The crab corn chowder is thick & chocked full of crab. Best $8 I have ever spent on chowder. And the fried oysters were superb! Bet or just watch the ponies on TVs located all around the restaurant. Or walk thru a door to the OTB. Security has your back! Where else can you eat in peace & know you are safe? Give it a try today!

Crab soup smelled funny and tasted horrible!! For a “crab house’ to have bad soup, I should have know the rest of the food was bad, and it was!! My husband got the fish and chips, which was bearable, but still no seasoning . I got the Pitt ham and beef, no seasoning whatsoever and didn’t taste like it was grilled or smoked at all!! The waitress didn’t even ask if we wanted more to drink. It was a pretty bad experience. And the menu has nothing that’s on the pictures. They said they offered boardwalk fries…not!!

A seriously hidden gem in Timonium. I have to say the fact it was in a racetrack sort of kept me away. However, as soon as I found it I was pleasantly surprised as to how nice Nick's is. Very large bar, lots of tables and hightops. Service was spectacular and food was great. It is connected to the OTB by a set of doors, but you would never know it was an OTB except for the few self service machines. Definitely regret not checking out Nick's sooner, and it's certainly added to my repertoire!

First time visiting Nick's Grandstand Grill. Our server was very friendly and welcoming and was helpful in our food Choice. We decided to start with bloody Mary's and they were delicious! She gave us a rundown of the days specials and we chose the crab balls and meatball sliders. I must say that I didn't have high expectations because I'm usually very critical, as, I am a chef at another restaurant, but, I was blown away by the crab balls. They were incredible! There were 8 of them for only $6. Just the right amount of breading and full of lump crab. Melted in my mouth! The meatball sliders were ok. We will definitely be returning soon to try some other items on what looks to be a great menu! Keep it up guys!

Went for the special National Meatball Day celebration - it was great! I had Italian Wedding Soup and the Meatball Sandwich and took home meatballs and sauce for another day and a Cannoli for dessert - the meatballs were great plus I had a glass of Chianti and I'm not a fan of Chianti usually but this was very good - I'll have to go back to try the regular menu - Kudos to Chef Gino - excellent food!!!!
