First time at this chain, and the soup dumplings were really good! There was a good wait. Came here on a Friday afternoon, (after 1:30pm), 45 minute wait. Taro buns, crab soup dumplings were amazing. Would recommend doing reservations.
Always so satisfying! I'm so happy with all their dumplings, especially my favorite Pork + Crab Xiao Long Bao! It's always great service and the quality is always consistent. Love everything on their menu from the dumplings to the sticky rice cakes/noodles to the garlicky greens. Must try everything! Highly recommended and also be sure to make reservations online for a shorter wait time, they're always super busy!
This restaurant has amazing dumplings and steamed buns. In fact, all their food was great. They bring out freshly sliced non-sweet ginger with your meals and have a big selection if menu items and drinks. They're always busy which is a good sign they live up to this review. Make sure you make a reservation or call up to see how long the wait will be.
What an experience. This was such a great place to take the family and meet friends. The food is incredible from the entrees to the simple appetizers! Broccoli, beans, pork ribs, dumplings, pork and chicken. The noodles, fried rice and amazing desserts are a dream.
My children learned how to use chop sticks, eat foods that are not easy to just throw into your mouth. It’s a true daily experience because everyone can just grab and enjoy! So so good!
FYI, this place is busy, always. There are lines and if you are patient, then it’s totally worth the wait.
We will be back just for the chocolate dumplings! Unreal!!

Love their dumplings and buns! The house spicy sauce, although not spicy to me, has great flavor! You should try putting some of it on the fried rice too. For dessert I recommend the sesame taro Xiao long bao. It's sweet nutty goodness you won't regret!
Do not miss this place! Everything we ate was amazing! I wanted to go back the next day. Green beans are not my favorite vegetable by any means but their green beans with fresh garlic were incredible. 100% will definitely eat here again when in town. Xiao Long Bao was my favorite. The service was great for how busy they were as well.
Absolutely excellent restaurant chain that is very unique in the area! It's in a busy area in Washington Square Mall, and often requires an hour-long wait, but it's definitely worth it! It's one of my friends' favorite restaurants and I'm so glad she brought me here! The atmosphere of the restaurant has nice Taiwanese-inspired décor and is very clean. The waiters and waitresses I came across were all very helpful, willing to assist tables that aren't theirs, and keep everything nice and quick. In addition, they have a lot of great food selections here. Their dumplings and wontons are delicious, especially the chicken wontons with the spicy sauce. I would also highly recommend their fried noodles as well as their sweet and sour short ribs appetizers. While they got rid of their sought-after smoothies, they still offer some tasty and refreshing bubble tea options, with dairy-free creamer. I really want to come back, I had such an awesome experience. Din Tai Fung is worth the hype!
