A co-worker who was in the neighborhood made an impromptu drop-in on the day of my birthday to surprise me with a cupcake. It was just a simple vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream icing and fall colored sprinkles...the usual. It was anything but. The icing was feather light and whipped with real butter. The cake was moist but not doughy like a mix. Delicious, and the best birthday treat of the day.
