This place has the best rolls in town. No kidding! The best! You’ve gotta give it try, it’s one of a kind. So crunchy and so super flavorful. The house sauce is just perfect too. So good! Bonus points: it is also a beer bar. They do have a good collection of beer for you to enjoy. I personally love their white beer the most, it is smooth and always refreshing. Plus the outdoor patio is kind of cute. I love coming there with friends and just grab a bite. I recommend this place!

Omgggg this place is an institution. #5, the banh mi are our go to! Also I always get the fish sauce with some Thai chili in the sauce with the rolls.Literally crave this place all the time. It’s so good! The Rosemead location is our go to but the new location is nice for the outdoor dining and they also serve alcohol. There’s also a nice Taiwanese dessert place and a bakery next door which makes it pretty convenient.
Ordered Steam rice cakes shrimp powder croutons fried in shrimp oil, charbroiled pork nem w/ shrimp egg rolls, and a thai iced tea. Tastes great, price was good too (menu prices accurate at time of visit). Portions were very filling and ideal for family style. Service was fast, order and paid at the counter first. Outdoor seating during peak hours was ok, first come first serve but manageable.
My top craving!! We always get the rice plates or the spring rolls~ So delicious! Their portions are pretty big too. I love the sauce for the spring rolls! with the spring rollsI’d suggest to call in before you go or you’d have to wait a bit. There’s always people waiting every time I go pick up my food. The staffs are so nice too! Rosemead location closes Wednesday. Temple city location closes Monday. This spot is my first recommendation when people never know what to eat.
Summer Rolls is the hipster, non-conforming cousin of any Vietnamese Pho restaurant. You will not find any pho at this Vietnamese restaurant. You will not find any egg or spring rolls here either. All you will find are vermicelli bowls, rice plates, summer rolls, and a plethora of Vietnamese beers, and this is exactly why Summer Rolls is such a great place.
I've been here multiple times and have always enjoyed the food every time.
This time, my girlfriend and I came for a summer roll snack so we just got the #9. It also comes with 2 sauces and a small, but very spicy pepper. We absolutely destroyed it and left more hungry than we came.
Summer Rolls is located in a very lively plaza and has plenty of free parking. They only have outdoor seating so I would highly recommend wearing clothes that cover as much skin as possible. Why? Mosquitos in the Temple City area are numerous and cause bumps the size of dollar coins.
The indoor-outdoor setup is awesome and I love that they have a rotating tap of atypical brews. The people there are always friendly and they're not stingy with giving extra chili sauce, lol
I used to live 2 blocks away so I would be in at least once a week. I usually get the lemongrass beef summer rolls but you really can't go wrong. Definitely recommend the banh mi if you're up for an Americanized twist!
One of the best places to get rolls! Always fresh, full of flavor and super quick service! I find myself craving their rolls all the time. Highly recommend if you're in the area.
We've been eating at Summer Rolls since they opened this location .The hubby and I try to visit weekly for lunch. We have never been disappointed by the meals. Rolls and rice plates are out go to. Everything is tasty and the beer selection is excellent! The food coupled with excellent service keeps as coming back!
