Loved this charming funky place! The food was fresh and delicious, and the owner and service was super friendly and welcoming. My family got the smorgasbord plate so we could taste a little of everything. We will definitely go again when we’re back in the area.❤️

I accidentally stumbled across this vegan gem hidden among Mill Avenue Shops courtyard. DRK serves a refreshingly healthy, wholesome, affordable alternative to the lunch & snack options along Mill. The friendly atmosphere, daily menu of cool/invigorating teas & smoothies, and tasty dishes are like visiting a friend's place to eat! You don't have to be vegan --- just a desire for good food!

Just moved here and I’m loving all of the healthy options available in this area but this one definitely stands out! Creative and tasty vegan food. I got the smorgasbord, which was huge! $18 so worth it. I’m excited to have a go-to spot to fuel my body with goodness😌
On top of that everyone was very friendly and it’s tucked into a tiny square so there’s not a lot of commotion (for my introverts out there). I’ll be back again!

Discover an oasis. Desert Roots feels as if one has been transported to an alternate utopian universe. Several fountains greet you upon arrival. A wide variety of plants hug the walls and fences nearby creating a calming vibe. Staff is relaxed yet attentive. Food is fresh and flavorful. Try the smorgasbord or the wrap. Both will impress. Wonderful, fresh, vegan food. The wrap of the day was delicious along with all the side options. Will definitely be back sometime when we are in Tempe. We also enjoyed eating outside on the patio.

I had the bit of everything one and it is so GOOD. I really enjoyed each one of the dishes. The turmeric hummus with refreshing cucumber slices was amazing and I don’t usually care for hummus! The atmosphere is friendly and I love the birds that visit the tree nearby. It feels healthy, nourishing, and wholesome. I would come weekly if it lived in my town.
