Portillo's Tempe

On the way home Phoenix and was craving some Portillos! Great location right off the highway and easy to get into. We opted for drive thru and our order came out fast! We got the Rodeo burger and char grilled sausage sandwich. So satisfying and so good! We also ordered the Candy Cane Shake and my only regret was sharing it with my husband

Went inside after 10 pm, place was clean and cashiers very friendly. I got Chicago style polish dog w/ cheese fries. The polish dogs here never ever disappoints. Hands down it’s best I ever have each time I go to either location. It’s always consistent in taste. The Fresh tomato slice, crispy raw onion, pickle spear crunchy..always great even at this late hour in middle of the week. Thank you Portillo’s for coming to AZ and setting the bar so high on polish dogs.Special thanks to lady manager, so so nice at this location ( Toni I think). Will definitely be coming back soon here.

I got the 4 chicken strips with honey mustard sauce and fries. First off these strips are huge. The honey mustard sauce is next level. Their crinkle cut fries are always my favorite but the onion rings are delightful. I’ve got this meal many times and it is consistently slap yo’ mama good! Try everything you won’t be disappointed.

Haven't been there since before the pandemic so I wanted to grab something close to the market place. I had the Big Beef and I got a chocolate dessert. Everything was great and the sandwich was overflowing with meat. It ended up being two meals for me. Would have been a five star but the drive thru doesn't take cash.

Being a Chicago native, this is a staple of my 20s and beyond. I had no idea that Portillos was in AZ. Was talking to some folks at the bar and someone randomly mentioned Portillos. I was excited so I went the very next day for lunch. My experience was exactly like it would have been in any Chicago suburb. My beef was dipped with onion rings. Precisely what makes this place so good is the consistency of there food and the speed at which it is served. I loved that they decorated the place with the Chicago memorabilia. Id like to have seen more Cubs than White Sox, but that's just me. 100% loved the food and the the taste of Chicago in Tempe / Phoenix area.

They are known for Chicago-style hot dogs, Italian beef sandwiches, chopped salad, cheese fries, homemade chocolate cake, and chocolate cake shake. Our Italian beef is slow-roasted for four hours, thinly sliced, and served on freshly baked French bread.
