Jack In The Box

As this restaurant goes at various locations, the effort of management at customer satisfaction, in my case, was higher than many in my experience. My large milkshake was free when they determined that the line was moving too slowly. Normally this location has no such delay. Contrast this with other fast foods, some with stars, others with arches, whose names I will spare and which are more guilty of regular longer waits. They also have never slipped up on my orders.

I showed up a whole 5 minutes before dine in opened. Even though the employees outside saw my work van was too tall for the drive thru, they refused to open a whole 5 freaking minutes early. I could understand 10+ minutes early, but 5 is plenty reasonable, especially when drive thru isn't an option. Never coming back here.

Monday 5/9/22 @ 05:35 am: Lobby dirty. Floors, counters, and tables needed to be mopped and wiped down. Nice people but standing around instead of getting store ready for customers. If 5:30 is opening, be ready at 5:30. No napkins or condiments available. Food was luke warm at best. Bad sign when your food is ready 60 seconds after ordering. If this store had been shopped by corporate, it would fail.

Went through the drive through today. There was a line in the drive through, so I patiently waited my turn. But was surprised by the lack of customer service. I asked to get grilled chicken instead of fried and was told I can not do any modifications to my sandwich or I would have to choose a sandwich that already had grilled chicken on it because they are short staffed....umm what?? I know it’s not Burger King but I didn’t realize I was asking for that much! And apparently he is the manager (Max). I pulled up to the window and the gal that took my money was very pleasant but then Max came to the window to hand me my food. Instead of handing it to me, he practically threw it at me as if I was the slow one. No smile, no have a nice day...just here here’s your food! Well let me tell you what...you got the order wrong (even though you took forever to take it) and the food was apparently just thrown in the bag (or maybe that is how you handled it)! Guess I’ll have to take my “modification” some where else!

Great food but I was insulted and disappointed with the label in Big Bear Lake City - Jack in the box. Discrimination is acceptable in their franchise business. I don't know with other franchise locations if they have the same motto placed close to the counter. See the picture I took. Hope no discrimination. I supposed not to buy food in Jack in the Box Big Bear city location but no other option based on our budget. Hope service is rendered to everyone.
