Great Wall Kitchen

The food is pretty variable. A few weeks ago, I ordered the lunch portion of baby shrimp with hot chili sauce and the vegetable chow fun. I thoroughly enjoyed both dishes. Today I ordered the same combination and was disappointed that the hot chili sauce wasn’t. It was more like a vegetable stew, mostly diced carrots and peas. Almost no chili sauce with chopped onions. The vegetable chow fun was enjoyable as before. I had some difficulty communicating with the order folks. All in all, two stars. Yesterday I wrote about my experience with a repeat order that was different than a previous one a few weeks ago. Today, I took the dish back to the Great Wall Kitchen and asked them to “make things right”. The manager understood my dissatisfaction and redid that part of my original order. I thanked him and left feeling good about Great Wall. Mistakes happen. Responsible proprietors work to correct any errors. I’ve changed my rating to 4 stars based on this experience.

Ordered food today, women cashier had a slight attitude with me due to me taking my time to order. Keep hurrying me to order. Once I finally made my decision, and order the chicken and broccoli combo. my food was done pretty quickly. Less then 5 minutes I would say. Didn’t eat the food until maybe an hour or 2 later. Immediately after food was digested , me and my daughters stomach had felt like it was turning and we both are back and fourth to the bathroom (sorry for the details.) I never have this problem as I usually do delievery but now I don’t know if I would go back. Chicken was chewy and chunky. Rice was a bit soggy.

Ordered food today but it was so bland. We ordered wonton soup, it had absolutely “no flavor” & wontons were too thick. Chicken and broccoli also not too flavored. Chicken lo mein noodles were way too thick and no flavor. Will think again about ordering these items. I don’t know why this happened cause it’s usually a great taste. Maybe they changed the cooks.
