We are regulars here . I cant tell you just how much we love this place ! Anna , Eddie , and Jessie are a family trio that really welcome you into there restaurant as if you were visiting their home.
The food portions are very generous and so reasonably priced. We have introduced many close friends to this eatery and everyone has loved it .
Always looking forward to our next meal here !!!

We picked up a takeout order from Mis Raices in Teaneck, NJ. The food here is YUMMY! :)
This is a “go to” place for Arroz Con Pollo, Rice and Beans, Empanadas, etc. It is authentic Puerto Rican and Cuban cuisine.
This was our first pick up since the current COVID pandemic restrictions, but not our first visit ever. We’ve ordered at least two dozen times but realized that I never wrote a review.
This time, we ordered Arroz con Pollo (rice with chicken) and red beans, Empanadas (our favorites are beef and cheese, chicken and cheese, beef, or plain cheese), alcapurria (a fried fritter filled with yuca and ground beef), and Chicharron de Cerdo (fried pork chunks) with rice and gandules. Everything was DELICIOUS, FRESH, and MOIST!!
It was the first time we tried alcapurria and I really wished we ordered a bunch instead of one! I didn’t get to take a picture of it because we shared it in the car- it smelled so good and tasted even better!
We will definitely return to Mis Raices for more “yummy in the tummy” food!

Stopped by a few weeks ago for the first time and picked up some amazing empanadas. So we decided to try some delivery tonight and so sad to say we were very disappointed. The chicken chunks tasted like they were fried with fish or something. They had a very weird taste. The rice and beans were good however the portions were way off. I placed 2 of the same orders, one plate of chicken was almost full and the other was about half?? I also tried a cup of tamarindo juice and it also had a very weird taste. I have heard good things about the food here but that was not the case tonight. Still haven’t found some decent PR food in Bergen county. On to the next.

Best ropa vieja I've ever had!!! Chuletas were seasoned great. Plantain chips with the mayo-garlic- cilantro sauce was awesome! Even the white rice was perfect! Owner and her family were incredibly sweet and friendly. Great job! Would definitely come here again if in the area.

So disappointed. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, guava empanada, chicken empanada, and a cuban sandwich (delivery). The Cuban sandwich was cold, cheese wasn’t melted, and the ham was really thick. I ate my chicken empanada which was good. I go to eat my guava empanada annnnd it was chicken -__- so that was super disappointing. Then I try my grilled chicken sandwich...I feel like Banana King has a better chicken sandwich. My bread was even soggy on one side and i’m not sure how it got soggy because this sandwich doesn’t have any type of dressing. A little too salty for my liking. I will not be ordering again.

You want to eat the best Yuca Fries of your entire life? The food here is phenomenal, which is an understatement. The mofongo is so good you have to try it if you're in the area. Don't miss out on this spot - très bon!

I am Swedish Cuban and Japanese. My dad lived in Cuba for a while. I am the great granddaughter of a Cuban dictator.
But I look more like Swedish.
My adopted son is Puerto Rican and I know his family and they taught me to cook.
The food is authentic and tasty. I live in NYC. Not sure if we will be back because of the long distance to travel.
But we certainly will if we are ever in the area again!
