Teaneck Doghouse

Would have loved to eat here, and checked days in advance. But they don't have a phone number to call ahead of time posted online, their website is inaccessible, and the hours are apparently inaccurate. We drove 45 minutes to find them closed, when Google says they're open. 1 star for not having a phone number or functioning website in this age of technology. Like, come on.

Terrible experience. Didn’t have half the things on the menu. Kitchen closed super early. When the bill came (after they told us to leave at 10:30) it wasn’t readable so they calculated it for us on their phones with a menu and AUTOMATICALLY added an 18% tip without even asking us. When we offered cash they said credit card was better and when the check came we saw they included another 2.5$ fee for using a credit card. Overall terrible service, ended up paying over 70$ for a few drinks, onion rings and wings.

Worst restaurant experience ever. The menu made no sense, the waiter was clearly incompetent, but the food was decent. It took more than 30 min before any food came out and the starter came out with the entrees. Even the drinks didn't come out for about 20 min. Two of the orders were just wrong, and even then they were not done correctly. Also, being told every mistake was our fault was bad form. We were told there was only one person in the kitchen. Although that saves a lot of money, that is no way to run a restaurant that is supposed to serve about 20-30 people at a time.

Just the strangest restaurant experience. Crazy overpriced food, sticky tables, odd staff, extra charge for paying with a credit card, pressured by the wait staff to order more food (only later understanding it's because the 18% tip is automatically included in the bill...) For a couple of drinks and two appetizers I spent 73$... Teaneck has so many excellent restaurants, go to any of those

If I could give zero stars I would. We made a reservation and then weren’t seated for 45 min. Once seated it took half an hour to get our orders in, another 15 to get water forks knives and napkins. After an hour wait our food slowly started to appear but eventually it became too ridiculous and several members of our party who had Yet to receive their orders cancelled then. Upon hearing this news we were met with annoyance from the management and we essentially blamed for their mistakes. Food was mediocre and service was even worse. Absolutely terrible experience and don’t plan on coming back again.
