Myself and my 11 year old daughter decided to visit Queen of Sheba while we were in Tampa. We were greeted at the door as soon as we walked in by the sweetest young woman and the amazing aroma of various spices overtook our senses. She inquired about our previous experience with Ethiopian food, which we had not had any prior. She walked us through the menu, and suggested one of their platters so we could try a variety of different dishes. We were not disappointed. The food was delicious and unlike anything I have had before. My 11 year old loved eating with her hands instead of a fork. If you are in Tampa, I highly recommend visiting Queen of Sheba.
This is definitely a cultural experience! Delicious food in a delightful environment, with a wide range of dishes to satisfy anyone’s taste. Remember to wash your hands before sitting down to eat: you use your hand and flat bread to eat. Extremely accommodating for people with allergies like me. Try the honey wine and the Ethiopian coffee: very good!
If you don't like Indian tasting food this isn't the place for you. It's very similar.. I really enjoyed it. My girlfriend not so much. Just remember you are going for the experience too. I would go back. Only thing I was disappointed in was the amount of meat. Would have liked a lil more. Very tasty. Amd greet prices.
