Da Best Soul Food Resturant

Stumbled on this place this weekend but it was a great find. The gentlemen who was seating and serving guests was a little flustered but he was very nice and handled everything great. It was pretty quiet for a Saturday at lunch but we didn't mind. We both ordered a cheeseburger and I got a side of Mac and cheese and my guest got fried okra. The sides were perfect!! The burgers were a bit over seasoned and greasy but not bad. I would definitely go back to try the chicken or chops that I saw the table by us get. Don't miss out on this place!

Visiting the Tampa area for the weekend from Orlando and wanted some good soul food before heading back home.. found this restaurant while googling and it was a HIT!!! I know good soul food when I see and taste it and this place was nothing short of amazing.. fresh, seasoned, customer service was excellent and I will be back! Thank you to the staff and keep doing what you do!🙏🏾💕

It takes a minute to get the food but it was good, hot and fresh! I’ll take that with nice hospitality any day of the week. I ordered the smothered pork chops, collard greens, potato salad, yams and yellow rice. We arrived during peak time on a Sunday (2 PM). Make reservations ahead of time and they will hold your table.

On the Sunday we went they were short staffed so the wait was very long ( 1 hour before getting our food) even though when we got there there were only 2 other tables already there. That being said, it was our first time so I assume that is not always the case. Once we got our food though…we forgot all about the wait. The food was absolutely delicious and finger licking good! I’d definitely go back.

We went on Sunday afternoon, it Was a little busy when we got there. Once we ordered our food it took them a good 30- 45mins to brink it out. I ordered the baked chicken and yellow rice with yams and Mac n cheese. My partner got their fried chicken wings, black eye peas, Mac n cheese, and collard green. The collard greens were too salty for the both of us. But everything else was delicious! The staff was polite, but I do think they need training waiting tables.
