Islands Pizza Tavern

Everything was as close to “exceeds my wildest” as one might expect! The ONLY reason atmosphere gets 1 less than FIVE STARS is to offer transparency to those looking for a “traditional” sit down Italian. Make no mistake: this is a sports bar and pizza/Italian tavern. With that said, however, I can tell you that it is OUTSTANDING at what it does! The food is completely authentic, prepared with true attention to instructions (raise your hand if you’re not used to that, btw…), and fabulous! Tonight, Courtney rocked the bar side—and people would have it no other way. She made everyone - including me - feel like I was THE customer that made the night worth working! Eric, Gaspar and Barry were in control of the food side, kitchen, and “fulfillment”, and I could not be more satisfied with the tasty “precision” of my order (except, perhaps, that I wanted it to take a few minutes longer so I could enjoy my visit and cocktail; I had gotten it to go…!)!! If you already know, tell them—and everyone else you know; if you don’t, however - or if it’s been a while - go back!!

This bar is connected to a pizzeria on one side then a wine a cheese place in the other. There's something there for everyone! One of the biggest liquor selections available in the area. It's considered a whiskey bourbon bar and the selection is impressive along with a wide variety aside from whiskey and bourbon. They have specials every night and Sunday is flip night... Where you flip a coin 50/50 for every drink you purchase, a very fun and rewarding special! Very cool

My wife and I don’t live on the island but we DREAM about this pizza and will make the drive just to get it! It is so good every single time and a large pizza is enough to feed our whole family when we get together! I have eaten their other pizzas but the white pizza is by far my favorite! No other white pizza even comes close to being as delicious as the one Islands Pizza makes. Definitely check it out!

"Islands Pizza Tavern" on Davis Island, FL, is a "no joke" hidden gem for pizza and bourbon lovers. Their incredible handcrafted pizzas, boast the perfect crust and delicious toppings. Plus, you can get it by the slice!!! They also have one of greatest Bourbon selections in Tampa. (Their selection would be even impressive in Kentucky). So, if you are looking for a barrel pick and a slice, look no further than Islands Pizza Tavern!

I’ve eaten here countless times. John (owner) and I have never really seen eye to eye, but the man knows how to run a business. The pizza runs Westshore pizza into the ground and it’s hard to beat the drink prices. White pizza and the meatzza are my go to, wings are pretty on point as well…doesn’t really matter what you get, when you go, or who you’re with. 10/10 totally recommend: Keep doing what you do John.

I had a pretty alright time here last night. Great company, great pizza, good pino grigio. My friend and I got a large pizza that was half white pizza and half chicken sun-dried tomato. Maybe the pizza was really, really good; however, i believe it was the people there (including the friend i went with, as well as the woman who served us, and the other people there) who really made it surprisingly awesome.
