I love the flavored crust. They're always friendly and my pizza's are always the BEST.. I've tried other pizza's but they do not compare to my Hungry Howie's on 78th street...
This particular location is a little hole in the wall. Shoved between two other companies, in a shady neighborhood.
The employees stood outside yelling back and forth, but were otherwise friendly.
Quick service and reasonably clean.
Food is hot and fresh.
Overall, not too shabby.
I just wanted to say THANK YOU to the 2 employees that remained in the store and made the food when hurricane Idalia was coming. They weren't rude or anything, just super helpful and very patient. Thank you.
We ate here 3 of the 5 nights we stayed in Tampa. The pizza is great!
Location was difficult to find when I used pickup, but the cashier stayed on the phone with me and helped me find it. I wish we had one closer to home!
Best pan pizza , I have had all year!!! Everything was portioned just right, had to call and give them my compliments. Everything just melted together so perfectly ! Ashley, thank you so much! It was amazing to look at and amazing to the taste buds! I’ll always order from your store from now on.
The food is great and the people that work there are all great too! Yes everyone has their moments where they are busy, stressed, overwhelmed, etc. But I've never had a super negative customer service experience with this location.
I recently went in with a special request for my mother's birthday and they were all eager to help, make the pizza as I envisioned it, and even show interest in the request and the story behind it.
I work in customer service myself and the best thing you can do is to try and take interest in your customer and build a relationship with them. Customers don't want to be treated like just another pizza order and I certainly didn't feel that way today.

I order pizza from here all the time. Since I have lived here, at least 20 times over three years. We live close by so we don't use the delivery service, we pick it up. But the pizza is always hot, fresh, cheesy, and delicious! Everyone that I have encountered at the establishment has always been very nice to me, or my kids if they are doing the picking up. I don't have high expectations for any fast food, but this pizza is good and the folks there have been friendly with me. No complaints here. :)
Big thanks to the general manger who came thru on getting us our pizza & price! I already had a deal with papa johns and come to find out they “never agreed” on our deal! Will definitely be coming here instead & not only that there pizza is delicious from other times we’ve ate it!
My family enjoys the pizza from Hungry Howie's! My children are now almost 40 years old and I have been purchasing their pizza, since my children were small. Their breads are also Super Delicious. We are speaking about the Hungry Howie's Pizza Places on 78th Street in Clair Mel, Tampa, FL. On any given night, one does not want to cook or just wants pizza, one can order pizza there, it is always tasty and very economical.
