Been in Florida since I left Chicago and this is by far the best Chicago-style food that I've tasted here... Just the smell of the mild sauce brought back so many memories. The owner Miss Kay is amazing... I'll definitely be recommending her to all of my friends and family
Absolutely! The Chicken and Fish with mild sauce and lemon pepper made me feel like I was back in the Chi. Been here for almost 2 years and this is the first meal that I have had where all parts were equally delicious. Kay’s customer service was just as excellent as the food! I highly recommend Kay’s Kitchen!! YUM
Just got food from here for lunch today to treat myself and it is AMAZING! I got grouper which tasted fresh and wasn’t mushy at all and also chicken wings with fries! Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection! If you like fried okra, here’s is worth a try! Will definitely be coming back again! Thank you!
The food was good, the customer service was great. The staff was so friendly and pleasant. We had the whole wings with fries, plus shrimp. We really enjoyed the chicken and shrimp; let's not forget the mild sauce and lemon pepper. The fries were just OK, we did not care for their fry choice, unseasoned steak fries or crinkle fries would do just fine. The restaurant is located inside the gas station convenience store. Parking is limited because of where it's located as well as dine-in space. But overall, we will definitely be back.
You can not go wrong with Mrs Kay's Kitchen. I love her fried fish and shrimp.
I think the price is a bit high, but I don't mind paying because the food is always good, hot, fresh and delicious.
Food is amazing. wings are flavorful and crisp. Almost reminds me of some of the old hood shops back in Memphis. Just need to get Kool-aid and a Honey Gold option and then I will be in heaven.
Customer service was phenomenal and chicken and shrimp were crispy and full of flavor. The workers were extremely nice and thanked me for being patient (I was probably there for 10 minutes total, I was impressed with how quick it was) and they gave me suggestions on how to save a few dollars while getting the most amount of food. Highly recommend
Amazing food! We love Kay's Kitchen! The chicken, corn nuggets, okra, and hush puppies are fantastic! The Chicago sauce is tasty. Be aware to check your order before leaving. A few times I have ordered 6 piece tenders and received 4 pieces
You can’t compare these wings with any other wings you’ve had. Breaded, light, fried but not greasy, perfectly cooked with sauce that is sweet and tangy. The banana pudding is the best you’ll ever have- cannot even stress enough just how amazing the pudding is! I stopped by today and they were sold out by 2:30! Definitely worth every penny
Absolutely love that Kay's reminds me of when we lived on South Bell Street in the 90s in Englewood(Chicago). I definitely drop the mild sauce all over my fries every time and put them in a brown bag and pretend to be in Chicago LOL. The chicken is absolutely amazing and don't get me started on the fish
If you're from Chicago and live in Tampa, definitely stop by for a small piece of home and Kay and the staff are so beautiful 🤗🙂

I have been wait for some years to visit Kay's Kitchen. Soooo glad she opened up her Food truck here in Riverview. ONE OF THE FEW Places open after Ian....I enjoyed the fish plate but went back the other day for the wings and MANNNNN WHATTTT....SOOOOOO GOOD!!!! I'VE had fried chicken across the country and this is TOP 10!!!! Almost forgot to mention the super friendly service!!! 👏

I got the chicken wings, okra and corn nuggets. The okra was far superior to ANY okra I've had before. There is some sort of "dust" she added to the chicken wings. Everything from the service to the food to the whole experience was just fabulous! I will definitely be back!!
