Went in to get something special for my husband's birthday..... staff was extremely nice and helpful with picking out a yummy treat. No picture, but I got him a carrot cake cupcake; said it was the best he ever had. We also purchased a gluten free chocolate with raspberry filling, a yellow cake with strawberry champagne filling; both with butter cream frosting. A note to remember, always allow them to come up to room temperature so the butter softens. So good!!! Made with top notch ingredients. Not your average bakery. Plus it was great to have some gluten free options. A must stop when in downtown St Pete.

This place is amazing! The chocolate cake bite (like a cake pop without the stick) was to die for - much better than any other cake pop I've ever tried! The mozzarella pesto croissant sandwich was wonderful! The prices are very reasonable too. We also tried the ice cream and it was fabulous. Super impressed with everything we tried! Can't wait to try the cupcakes next, which looked picture-perfect. Presentation was perfect and the locale is very cute and nicely decorated. Definitely recommend this to everyone!

We ordered a custom cake for our baby shower from Southern Bay to go along with our Panda/Bamboo theme. They knocked it out of the park! It was such a beautiful cake! And it tasted divine also, especially the chocolate with the chocolate ganache! We are so so so happy and will definitely be ordering again soon!

I love this new bakery, great location and style. My husband is British and he always complains that we dont have "real" bakeries here. He was impressed by the quality and made-from-scratch recipes. Love the soups and sandwiches. Perfect all in one stop for lunch, treats, birthday or wedding cakes and elegant desserts for your dinner party. We will definitely be back often.

Ordered custom cakes for our kids birthday and they came out great, decoration and taste wise. We got the red velvet cake, chocolate and vanilla mini cupcakes. They were very accommodating to our requests for the decor. Our guests were very impressed 👏🏻👏🏻🎉👏🏻👏🏻

This place is amazing. I get quiche here every Thursday for a business meeting and some random delicious pastry and it always gets me back for seconds. I just went to their shop which has been renamed from sweet Magnolia to Southern Bay Bakery and bought one of everything for a party. Can't wait to dig in.

This place is very cute and absolutely delicious. Lots of gluten free options if you’re looking for them but not the place to go if you have nut allergies. Cookies are so soft and gooey, do not pass them up!

Excellent selection of pastries, including some savoury ones which is a departure from most bakeries. My husband and I loved our selections and we’ll be back to try some more soon!

Cute shop. Husband had tiramisu and said it was dry. I had coconut macaroon and really liked it. Kids had ice cream and loved it. I will be coming back.
