1. Awesome greeting by hostress/waitress. She was a star from start to finish. 2. Fresh coffee. 3. Hot food & large portions. 4. Good prices. 5. We took advantage of outdoor seating for our breakfast. Who would have thunk a good place to eat is located at a BP gas station?!
A++. Three adults and a two yr old went to Zeldas @ 11:30am. Our waitress was Great! cheese grits& bacon; chicken salad on hoogie; western omelete w/marble rye and pancakes for Lawton(very good food) several young couples there..cant wait until Friday night when they have Jamacan Bands on patio!! Will def be back!!
If your downtown\chanelside. Corner of Kennedy and Chanel Side Dr. behind the BP Station sits a great deli. Good food specials every day at great prices. I'm usually out of there under $10 including my drink. Try the Talapia fish sandwich.
Wonderful mom and pop place. Great food, very nice staff. Really cool outdoor seating as well. Large servings, best cheesy grits ever.
Oh my! This place was wonderful and I’ll surely never forget it. I’m already making plans to try to come back tomorrow. The food was DELICIOUS! Made fresh, hot, from scratch. If you’re tired of the chain restaurant taste and want something affordable, this is it! It is definitely a hole in the wall place and very low key. I couldn’t believe how tasty it was!! It’s very quiet, steady service of singles and couples coming and going. They had to go or dine in. Cold Dr. Pepper in the cooler!!
Love this place! Git lunch here twice so far and both times it was great, very tasty yet super simple. Feels like home-cooked comfort food. I had the grilled chicken sandwich and then the chicken Caesar wrap with macaroni salad. All yum!
Best damm Roast Beef on rye I have had in a long time. #zeldascafe very friendly
Zelda’s is the true definition of a place that’s a “hole in the wall.” Attached to a gas station, it certainly isn’t fancy or trendy… just a quick and inexpensive breakfast stop. But it’s one of those places that you’ll start to love if you go there a few times. The best surprise was that their breakfast sandwich is the best in the neighborhood. Don’t sleep on the deli sandwiches either.
The staff here were so friendly and welcoming and when i asked questions about some of the menu items they didn’t hesitate to answer. Truthfully, they went above and beyond with the service and the food was absolutely delicious, cheap, and had very large portion sizes. Overall, whenever i am in Tampa again, i will friendly be visiting again.
I stopped by here while waiting on my train and it was a wonderful hidden gem. The portion sizes were great for the price and the food was delicious (I had the Channelside Chicken Wrap). Service was also excellent and fast. Thank you!
Just the hole in the wall I’ve been looking for! Don’t go if you want an upscale, fancy or even super clean environment. Go, if you want homemade, tasty food-breakfast in a laid back environment. I absolutely loved the rye toast. Someone who knows what “buttered “ toast is. It is worth the drive for me. A little suggestion to the venue.. umbrellas or some sort of shade for the outdoor diners. The sun gets hot here in Florida.
Staying within walking distance from Zelda’s so we thought we would give it a try for breakfast. The place was empty so we were not sure. Surprised, food was great and the place was filling up when we left. Give it a try. We will be back to try lunch soon.
I used to live in Tampa a few years back and this was THE spot for me, whenever I wanted great food Zeldas was always there, I actually miss it and thats why I specifically came here to give this review! Hope all is well.
