I have been coming here since I was a kid. Absolutely the best Cuban for my personal taste. Meatball is also phenomenal. They will treat you like family and you gotta love the fun signs 🙃

I have been going here with my family since I was a kid. Best place in the 813 area for sandwiches. Staff treat you like family.

I was a regular at Bearss Sandwiches (when it was next to the 7-11 at the corner of Bears and North) when I was at USF in the 90s. After a 20-year hiatus from my hometown of Tampa, I was pleased to see Berta still at it on Florida Avenue. The Cuban Sandwich is as good as it gets. While the sandwich is great, Berta is great people worth a stop in.

I come here every other week the Italian submarine is just to die for! They know how to make a classic sub for sure!

Berta and her crew are Amazing. Friendly service and staff! Tater salad is amazing. Cuban sandwiches A1. But as a Florida and Tampa native I’ve had lots of Flan. Berta made sure to remind me to get a spoon and when I tell you I had eaten the entire flan before I made it home. The flan was so damn good. Chefs Kiss

I’ve been going there for decades and decades when they were at their first location on Bearss Avenue. The owner was so sweet and would crack jokes while you waited on line. Sadly he passed away. Bertha his wife is still there and works so hard. I love the Cuban sandwiches all the way pressed with pork! Yum! Been my go to sandwich. But pretty much anything you order tastes fresh and it’s good.
