I had the most incredible time celebrating my Bridal Shower at this amazing place. Ballyhoos is an awesome place, the atmosphere was exactly what we needed for this exciting event in my life. I would not have asked for a better location. The staff were beyond helpful and friendly. Everything we needed they provided and went above and beyond our expectations. The food was spectacular and not one person was unhappy. All in all I give Ballyhoos a 10 out of 10 and I will definitely be back with my friends and family.

Stopped in here for an early dinner for the first time in years. Place hasn’t changed, but that’s not a bad thing. Food and service is still good. We only had appetizers (buffalo shrimp and grouper nuggets) but both were delicious. The fried nuggets were light and golden, not heavily fried and greasy like some places. Drink prices were decent as well. Only negative I can mention might be the parking. It wasn’t crowded when we went but at busy times, the lot gets full quickly and it’s not paved.

Went here last night with my sister-in-law and it as amazing. Service and food were perfect. I had the raw oysters for an appetizer, side salad and stuffed grouper with sautéed spinach. All super delicious! Oh, and key lime pie for dessert! Thanks for the great time!

Stopped in for a snack. It’s been years since I have been here. The place was super clean. Staff was friendly and the food was excellent! Ordered Grouper Nuggets and a order of fries. Food came out quickly and piping hot. The fish was really fresh! Like right off the boat! All the staff were wearing mask.

This is good food. I like great fish and this is a fine place to get it. It's a casual place with fresh plates and prices are reasonable for fresh seafood. The service is great. I've been here twice. The 1st time almost a month ago, I had seafood gumbo $4, fish spread $8, and shrimp/scallop special ($20). The fish spread is excellent but I don't love cooked salmon. It's good and a lot of people would like this though so you should consider it. The gumbo had an excellent taste & spiciness. Mine was a bit thick but maybe that was a one-time thing. The shrimp and scallops were just excellent. They are what you seek. I will be back to order them again. 2nd time, Sunday I was just there. I had the fish spread again- and had forgotten about the salmon. Think I'll get gumbo next time. This time I had the catch, which was triple-tail snapper. I took a picture- unfortunately didn't think of it until I'd taken my first bite- sorry. The snapper was so good that I was sad when it was all gone, lol. So why not 5 stars? Only a picky topic for me. It's the beer selection. I had the space dust, which is a pretty good tasting sipper. But it's not that drinkable (8% alcohol) and I like beer with my fish. I prefer easy drinking IPA's and pale ales with dinner. There isn't really another great choice on the menu, which is surprising, considering the better breweries nowadays. There are 3 kinds of Amber ales on draft in Blue Point, big storm, and v-twin which are all good but maybe overkill amongst 8 taps total? I'd highly recommend any restaurant getting rid of the always lousy goose island. Replace it with Lagunitas Pale Ale or Lagunitas IPA. Or, Green Bench Sunshine City. or Deep South Citra, or Ballast Point Even Keel & BP Grunion, or Stone Tangerine, or even Cycle Crank IPA. A very light, fruity, hoppy brew with lower alcohol would pair so much better with such great seafood. Please consider so I can change this to 5 stars!

Outstanding! The food was delicious, the portions were great, and the atmosphere was fantastic. And if you are an art lover, all you have to do is look around.

The food is awesome. I had the Oak Grilled Scallops, they melt in your mouth. My mom had one of the daily specials, Pan Seared Snapper and it was wonderful. The banana foster cheesecake dessert, OMG it was to die for.

Oh my goodness, Amazing is not enough to describe the meals and our server Destiny. Food and drinks were on point and the Destiny is an exceptional server. My wife had scapplos and I had the stuffed grouper. We also shared 1.5 dozen of Rockefeller oysters and they were also exceptional. For desert we had the key lime pie...yummm. A definite place to recommend and a place we will return to

Local diner with outdoor seating and good drink specials. I had the shrimp Po-boy as well as fried calamari as an appetizer. Our server Emily was really friendly. This location can accommodate larger parties, they spaced the main dining room ( a large bar is located in there) out to socially distance. The food is pretty good & reliable. Our calamari had a light batter (think tempura) & was flavored good. I have been here several times pre-pandemic w/friends and the food is always pretty fresh. It's super casual, usually a somewhat older crowd but warm neighborhood diner vibe.
