Best meal in Tampa!
I visit Tampa a few times a year and when this place was recommended to me, I couldn’t wait to stop by.
I got the two meat plate with ribs, chopped pork, mac and cheese, and collard greens. Added a slice pound cake for dessert.
Everything was amazing and the ribs stole the show.
The pound cake was the best pound cake I’ve had since I lived in Alabama.

I loved the sausage but not a fan of cheese rice. I had to take the cheese off the top to at least enjoy it. Green beans missing flavor. My husband ribs were good. I don’t think I’m going to try the rice again.

Soon as you walk in you smell the goodness, then you hear the oldies/jams that would be at the family reunion. That's what you get before you see the smiling face at the register to take your order. I ordered the whole chicken family meal with Carolina gold sauce, mac and cheese and collards as my sides. Also purchased trigg rice and potato salad a la carte. The trigg rice is a must! It is a specialty truly one of a kind. The aroma of the meat on the smoker had me anticipating the moment I could devour it. It was flavorful, tender and juicy and blended perfectly with the carolina gold sauce. The carolina gold sauce brought me back to growing up in NC a nice tangy flavor with a little kick to it. Ordered a red velvet cake for dessert and it was perfection! I always tell people if you want good bbq in Tampa you have to travel to south Tampa on Hubert Ave where Konan's is located as you won't be disappointed.

It was my first visit and I was pleasantly surprised. The employees were great. The building was very clean and the food was delicious. I got a togo order and it was served in a timely manner. I did not visit the restroom. The pricing was fair for what you get. If I am ever in the area I will definitely go back.

I always wanted to try them had heard great reviews and me and my wife were not disappointed. Everything was phenomenal I mean from the chicken, ribs, sausage, potatoes salad, Mac n cheese, baked beans, and the greens. Oops almost forgot got the pineapple tea and lemonade is just ridiculously good. I'm so mad that I forgot to take a picture before I started eating, I will definitely be back a lot, me and my wife. Great job pit master, cashier, service crew you all have definitely left an impression on my family in a great way. Thank you thank you thank you.

Visiting Tampa from Columbus, OH, and headed here right off the plane. We were looking for a quick bite to hold us over until dinner... boy were we surprised! The music took me back to when I was a kid, so waiting wasn't a problem. Great service, and the food is amazing. We shared a rib dinner, and still had food left over. Our only problem is that we had to come all the way to Tampa to get good BBQ.

I can’t say enough about this food! Best BBQ in Tampa by far. The ribs are flavored so perfectly as well as the pork. Let’s not forget about their special bbq sauce! Always great service, great food, and great prices! 10 out of 10. Highly recommend giving it a try.

It was my first time at Konan and the employees said I would be back. They are right. Food was great. Price is cheaper than any other restaurant. The pineapple sweet tea is a must try.
I got a two meat plate with ribs and sausage. Mac and cheese and potato salad.
I would recommend ordering ahead if possible.

Best bbq meat that I think I’ve ever had… large portion sizes for the price, nice and tender chicken, pork, and sausage. Everything was juicy and flavourful, and the sides are amazing! I got the Taste of Memphis, the Mac and cheese side, and the pineapple sweet tea, all of which are exceptional! It’s also worth mentioning that the everyone we talked to was friendly and welcoming… you can’t go wrong stopping in here!!

I was in the neighborhood and wanted to eat some bbq and ended up here. The place is not on a Main Street and it is indeed low key. The staff was really friendly and the food was really good. I am more of a beef guy and their menu only had chicken and pork, but I was pleasantly surprised, they pork was tender and really well cooked and the chicken was fall of the bone texture. Both of them came covered in a sauce that was added after the cooking, which isn’t my first choice, but this was pretty good. Not too invasive. Next time I will probably order it on the side.
One additional item that is not minor at all, this place was spotless, everything was really clean, you can tell that these guys really pay attention to this.

I utilized Konan's to cater my family reunion picnic this month. Amazing food and service! Food was delivered to park hot and fresh and on time. My ordered was prepared exactly how I requested. We ordered ribs, chicken, mac n cheese, baked beans, and corn on cob. Meat was tender, falling off the bones! Portions were plentiful and price was more than fair. Eric kept telling me "I got u" every time I called about my order...and they absolutely had me! Everything was wonderful and my family thoroughly enjoyed food. I love that they were willing to customize my order to meet our needs. The owner actually made the delivery and set it up for me at park. It was great.

The food is so good over here! They had an amazing (orange/yellow) sauce that they put over the ribs and that made the ribs taste even better! It is their own sauce which they came up with themselves! Tip for the owner(s): sell the sauce in bottles!
The people that work here are very nice. Talked with the owner and the uncle of the owner. Would definitely come back again if I'm visiting Tampa again!

Food is so good. Really enjoyed everything from the ribs to the macaroni and cheese. But the highlight was the pineapple ice tea. So delicious. Wish they had bigger sizes. Only downside to this place is the speed of service. Takes a while to get food. A better system is needed for serving and getting orders out.

I cannot brag enough about KONAN BBQ. Definitely my new favorite place for BBQ. Perfect blend of sweet heat. Great customer service! Little long of a wait time but w food this great it was absolutely worth the time. Shall return as much as I can despite the commute. Tried chicken,ribs dinner served w 2 sides and the chopped pork sandwich w 2 sides. Great price and portions. Round of applause to this location. Definitely pleasantly surprised!You have earned a repeat customer.

Very delicious and great and fast spot. There's a little heat on it and it adds to the greatness. Large portions and very filling. Enough for 2 or 3. I got the greens, mac and cheese and chicken and rib combo. And the sour cream cake, red velvet and pineapple layer cake. All were tasty and distinct. Only negatives ( no one's perfect right) I asked for white meat and got a leg quarter and the red velvet cake while tasty doesn't have enough cocoa flavor for me. Other than that this is a solid spot. Bring cash to save money.

This establishment is second to none. The consistency on the food is the most important to me. The meat is always tender, and the sides are impeccable. The employees are very nice and respectful. I chose four on the service because the lines are so long, I think maybe two registers or less conversations at the register could move lines faster; nevertheless, I travel from east Tampa to enjoy the food.

It’s the real deal barbecue! They must prepare all of the side dishes at another location (nearby). I did not see an actual kitchen. Probably explains why they don’t serve fries 😋. The sauce they use must be there own cuz it’s served on all the meats. Servings are very generous so bring an appetite. Pineapple sweet tea is authentic and a nice change to plain sweet tea. Inside picnic tables and benches are huge and high (high table height). Located in a neighborhood not a commercial park so keep an eye out or you’ll pass it by (like I did). I went in the middle of the afternoon and the place was hoppin’. So be prepared to wait a bit . . . But oh so worth it!!!

Awesome food! Nice place to eat! Definitely the best BBQ in Tampa! The sauce is amazing the Mac and cheese is on point and the beans were great!!!!! My wife got the greens which were out of this world!!! Meat was cooked perfectly! Only thing we didn’t try was the sweet tea but everyone there said is was awesome!!!

This place was recommended by a friend who is a Tampa native and a semi professional griller like myself. I can honestly say Konan’s BBQ lives up to the hype. We had the full slab of ribs, macaroni and cheese, and potato salad and everything was delicious. My youngest child who doesn’t even eat macaroni loves theirs. In an area that is known for seafood, this spot is a must visit.

Came here today for lunch! So so so good. Wasn’t aware the bbq sauce was mustard bbq, but after I got most of it off(I don’t like mustard bbq lol) the food was freaking amazing! These ribs don’t even need bbq sauce! The collards were amazing and the Mac n chz was phenomenal! The absolute best bbq Ive ever had at a restaurant!

Had this place for the first time Friday and it was great. The ribs and chicken was juicy and that bbq sauce had a nice kick to compliment it. Enjoyed the flavorful sides items and I’m addicted to that sweet tea. I have no clue what’s in it, however it’s the best ever.
