Japanica Steak House Sushi Bar

The food was delicious! I ordered takeout online and had the 5 roll sushi lunch special. Each roll had 4 pieces. Rolls I ordered, starting with my favorite: spicy tuna, yam tempura, tuna, spicy Kani, and Philadelphia. I don't usually go for roll with cream cheese. I picked the last roll at random. It tasted fresh and was certainly filling. $13.95 for the lunch special. I ordered online at 10:44am. Pickup was supposed to be ready at 11:15. It was actually ready at 11:19. Will I be back? Maybe. It was good and a large portion, but it is not in a convenient location for me.

Their hibachi lunch deals are unbeatable! Chicken hibachi for $9.95? Even Robotos can’t beat this place, and the quality is still Japanese Steakhouse quality. If you like hibachi and like lunch, you should mosey on over to get their lunch specials. Still comes with soup or salad. I always like getting double rice instead of veggies bc I love fried rice.

This used to be our go-to hibachi when my kids were little but then, they began changing the rules on lunch - made you call ahead and have more than 2 people - so we stopped going. Well, this past Sunday we decided to give it another go. There were definitely pluses and minuses. Plus: seated quickly and tended to by both our waiter and chef quickly. Minus: soup OR salad, when other hibachi places do both. Pro: chef cooked the filet like a champ and it was highly enjoyable. Minus: rice was bland; could use salt, pepper, and garlic. Minus: sushi rolls were good but not spicy, as ordered. Plus: reasonably priced for an overall solid meal for my family of five. I'd go back now, when before, I'd written them off.
