Everything was very well prepared. Each dish had a nice balance of flavors. The highlight for us were the venison tartar and the octopus with a nice char. But really, everything we had was very good. The space had a nice ambience inside. The patio was closed for the season but can’t wait to come back in the summer to enjoy another delicious meal. The service was fantastic as well. A nice gem in Tahoe
Recently moved to Reno and I’ve been looking for decent dining spots, some higher end. This place is it if you want to spend a family dinner here or if you want to bring a date. Would recommend, but be ready to spend some $! This is at a minimum, a three money sign spot.
the crab croquettes, halibut, and bread pudding were all great.
We wanted to have a special dinner on our last night in Lake Tahoe so opted to dine at Christy Hill’s. First off, when you walk inside, you will be surprised at the beauty of this restaurant, and it’s hostess who is a mirror image of a young Gina Gershon. Once seated, we were introduced to their menu by stud puppy Carsten, who also recommended the tasting menu that sounded amazing. We decided go w the tasting menu, and go full swing w wine pairing, and glad we did! Best way to describe our food is to say that it came out in synchronized perfection. First we had an amuse bouche that consisted of grilled octopus w arugula nested in a warm sauce. The perfect palette starter. Next up was the heirloom tomato and watermelon salad on balsamic reduction. Perhaps a little early in the season for tomatoes, but it was good nonetheless. Following was the corn risotto, which I’ve never had. It was delish. But the stars of the course had to be the halibut w olive tapenade, and the hanger steak that came w truffled potatoes and king mushroom. Both of these items were SMASHING! The wine that came a each course was perfection but personally, the wine paired w the meat was a knockout. As we were stuffed like pigs, Carsten spaced out the last course, dark chocolate brownies w strawberry and some kind of sweet drizzling that was amazing. We ended the night w digestifs, and I was ready to be rolled out. All said and done, this is how fine dining should be.
The quality of the food and the service were impeccable, and the location with the view of the lake can't be beat. The only shortcoming of our meal was the small portions. For the substantial prices we would have hoped for more substantial servings.
Good not great. The setting however is cozy and romantic. Worth trying again.
My first time in lake Tahoe and Christy hill was my pick for my one-year anniversary with my girlfriend and we were not disappointed at all! We unfortunately were running late and were still seated in the best seat to view the sunset of Lake Tahoe. We started with a goddess salad and chicken liver moose which came out fast and fresh with a lovely glass of rose for both of us with a hibachi fish with some thin crisps and a delicious pork belly with a cooked watermelon on the bottom which was interesting. Finally, our server was nice enough to provide us with a chocolate bread pudding with whipped cream and a candle for us. 5/5 experience and a great way to end the weekend trip. I highly recommend this place as they have a great menu for any occasion.
Always great experiences here! This has easily become our favorite dining spot in town. Not only for the location and amazing food, but also the quality seasonal ingredients that leave me feeling full, happy and most importantly healthy.
Great staff, views, drinks, wine list, outdoor ambiance, and chef. Couldn't ask for a better or more reasonably priced restaurant for everyone lucky enough to enjoy.
We just got back from a fabulous dinner at Christy Hill. We’ve enjoyed so many dinners that have yet to disappoint here. I had the opportunity to let Robin know how fantastic both this menu/food is and every time we’ve dined at Pinetta has been on point. The views at Christy Hill keep us coming back as Lake Tahoe is such an incredibly special place to both my husband and I. If you like Lamb, the Moroccan Lamb is one of my all time favorite dishes. Definitely try it!
Great food, entertaining staff, really gorgeous views and a wonderful wine list.
Wonderful dinner right on the lake with beautiful views. Definitely worth the splurge if you are visiting the north Lake Tahoe area. Favorite was their take on a sticky toffee pudding cake, so good. But really everything was delicious. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, staff was friendly and attentive.
