The Brine Well Eatery

Delicious! High quality food made with local ingredients! Great "plate" combinations that either honor the original recipe or combine ingredients inspired by the history of the city they are named after. What a great concept! I used to live in Rochester, the birthplace of the "garbage plate." Needless to say I have had many plates, from dozens of restaurants around Rochester. The Brine Well Rochester Plate is on point!! And honestly, it was the best "plate" I have ever had. (I don't mean any disrespect to all the delicious plates I found around Rochester.) As I started to dig in I was thinking it was in the top 5 for sure and then I bit into the hamburger... It was perfectly cooked and a thick patty made from delicious, mouth watery, high quality, local beef. All of the ingredients tasted delicious and fresh. If you've read this far then I have to tell you that the "build your own plate" option gives everyone the ability to create endless combinations. Well, okay. Technically there are 120,960 possible combinations (yep, I calculated it) but that's the same as endless because you would have to eat two meals a day at Brine Well for 166 years. 😅. Keep up the good work guys!! Your Eatery is an excellent addition to the thriving Syracuse food scene.

We love this restaurant!!! It is so great that they have so many options for those of us who are vegan with dietary restrictions. Both of my children love their food, because everyone can get a great meal! The Ithaca Plate is wonderful, but you can also make the Syracuse Plate vegan and gluten free and soy free. The staff are always really willing to make a dish work around your restrictions and are very knowledgeable about it. We love the pickles chips. The plates are really filling! We can’t say enough good things about it!
