Umaido

I’ve been going here for years and never had a problem.... until now. The last time, they didn’t give me my entire to go order. I realize this when I get all the way back to work. I call them, the guy says he’ll refund my money for the part I didn’t receive. I NEVER got my money back. I decide to go back this time. This time, they just mess up the order even though I repeated myself twice and he repeated it back to me correctly. What I got? Not correct. This is absolutely ridiculous. The food is great which is why it gets one star. The staff answering the phone, not so great.

I visited this restaurant for the first time today and it was so amazing!! It’s scary trying a restaurant for the first time and Joanna made it such an amazing experience! The shrimp tempura roll is very yummy, and I got the ultra spicy Ramen which was also good and the chicken bun. I will definitely be back! I will say with Covid it’s probably best to take the food to go because of the limited seating inside of the restaurant.

Umaido claims it is the best noodle place in town. After eating here several times, I'm inclined to agree. I've tried other ramen places from Atlanta to Athens and I have yet to find a ramen bar that tastes just as good as Umaido. Their noodles are cooked to perfection and packed with flavor. The service is always good. I'm happy to direct everyone who is looking for good ramen to Umaido.

Each part of the dish was well thought out. The crunchy texture of cabbage and bean sprouts in the cabbage ramen paired perfectly the tender texture of the handmade noodles. Despite the deep pork flavor of the soup, the soup was able to maintain a light consistency even though it was blended together with a fusion of other flavors.

My Fiancé and I were on the hunt for a ramen spot comparable to our favorite ramen spot in Los Angeles. After a few other places, we found it here at Umaido. Umaido is AMAZING! It puts the other places in the Atlanta area to shame. We get different things each time and we haven't been let down at all. Food is amazing and wait staff is super friendly. I love it here and will definitely be back even with my hour drive to get there.
