This was our best meal while visiting the Myrtle Beach area. It was about 40 minutes from where we were staying and well worth the drive. The staff was extremely hospitable and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our bartender Nikki went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make our experience top notch. Besides the fact we had great conversation with her she really attended to our needs (saying needs lightly as we’re vacationers). When my husband ordered surf and turf he asked if they had horseradish sauce and the bartender said no, but i can make it for you. She went back and made it for him. All of our food was exquisite. The crab balls were amazing. The scallops were melting in my mouth. And holy Moses is the boil a lot of food!!! Well worth the drive and the money. Next time we come to this area of the country, we will for sure be back and recommending this place to every friend that comes down. Great staff. Great food. Great atmosphere.

Th reason for a three star review is the deviled crab had very little if any crab. It was mostly stuffing and bell peppers. Very disappointed. The other reason for three stars is my friend liked the shrimp. If it wasn’t for that I’d give less stars.

This restaurant was recommended from someone back home in Morganton, NC. Glad we went the hushpuppies were very fresh and the entrees we order was very good. Pricey but you get lots of food. We got there right at 5pm when they opened was seated quickly. Our server was on top of things didn't have to wait long for anything. Will go back in the future.

Wife and I wanted fresh seafood near Ocean Isle, and this was recommended to us by friends. We arrived to a decently packed parking lot at 5:10, after their 4:30 opening, and had a short wait before being seated. The restaurant is upstairs with a great view of a waterway that gradually filled over the course of our meal. Cool to see the tide at work.
Staff was very pleasant and helpful. Not quite 5-star attentive, but only because it was a busy Friday. Totally understandable. They balanced it out with some warm hush puppies served quickly with a cinnamon-butter spread. Wife's side salad was fine, one wilty piece of lettuce aside.
Both of us ordered the big Bill's Barge that was packed full of fresh mussels, clams, shrimp, and snow crab legs. Also included some great small, roasted potatoes and a half ear of corn. Everything in the Barge was amazing. Well cooked, well spiced, and worth the price.

Took my mom on a surprise day trip to the beach & we checked this place out. Not only was it in an awesome location, the food was great! The crab dip is delicious. The stairs require negotiation after a few Bahama Mamas. Lol

We decided to try Crabby Oddwaters since my family wanted crab legs. We arrived at 4:45pm and were greeted by a lady outside who when we asked for a table of 4 said “wait a minute.” About 5 minutes later, a younger boy came out and informed us it would be a 30 minute wait and took our phone number down and said he’d call us when a table was ready.
We decided to go by the water since our kids love water. About 15 minutes later, we noticed everyone waiting in front and BEHIND us were gone.
We walked up and asked if we could wait inside, and the girl said “I’m not sure.”
My husband was annoyed at this point and proceeded to walk up the stairs inside. There, we were greeted by a lady who sat us down immediately. (I never received a call that our table was ready…)
I ordered the crab leg boil and my husband ordered the catch of the day, grouper. Both were good. The crab legs were awesome however, for $43 dollars you’d expect a crab leg boil to consist of more then a piece of corn, 4 pieces of potatoes, and a piece of sausage.
Honestly, the fact that the grouper, peel n eat shrimp appetizer, and crab legs were so good was the only thing that saved this place in our minds.
It’s a shame the food is SO good but the service lacking.

After a couple of days of moving, I decided I needed to head out somewhere to have food made for me. :)
Did a quick search and found Crabby Oddwaters. It was just what was needed. The Sunday night staff was laid back and kept me entertained and laughing. Coming from Chicago, I hadn't had proper seafood in a while, and it hit the spot. The Key Lime Pie is made fresh daily, and Holy Toledo, it was great.
I like casual dining, so this was perfect...staff was not stuffy at all, and will be back as much as I can!
