Why was this so good??? I had the black garlic and it was really damn good. The broth was delicious and so were the veggies and noodles. Honestly better than some restaurants I’ve had. The meat was only so-so however, but honestly never been too much of a fan.

Very good noodles. I was impressed by the convenience and the quality of food I got. I ordered the black garlic oil tonkatsu flavor. Broth was a little bit salty, but very tasty. Can’t wait to try the spicy kimchi ramen next time!

Water. All I taste is water. Ramen from the grocery store has more flavor and costs 15 times less.

I ordered the Tonkatsu with Black Garlic Oil. The meat was flavorful, but the rest of the meal was, unfortunately, not. The broth tasted very watery, and the veggies tasted very much like canned veggies. The noodles themselves were passable but nothing to write home about.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it.

I was enjoying eating here for fast healthy food. It's was actually pretty good, especially for a vending machine, and sometimes I'd even venture a few block out of my way for it.... but then they took away the vegetarian/vegan options so that was the end of that. Seriously though, this is San Francisco.... not being able to reliably predict that there will be at least one veg option is silly and will put some customers off.

There was a line at the Michelin star ramen place so we went here instead. The broth was pretty salty, food was VERY HOT. Though it came from a vending machine, it was not ”instant noodles". These were legit ramen. And the configuration was what you'd expect to see Naruto Uzamaki eating. Only negative versus going to the standard ramen place at Westfield is that you don't get free water... Then again, you don't have to leave a tip either. It's cool for the novelty or if everything else is closed like after a late movie.

Heard about this and wanted to try it. My boyfriend ordered mine first which I got the tonkatsu ramen, it was pretty exciting to see/hear it preparing my food and then when the door slid open, my food was ready! Then it was my boyfriend's turn to get his food but as soon as he selected his udon, it stopped working. It said to please call the number and so we just left to get something else, but as my boyfriend was waiting in line to get something else. I saw it worked again so I decided to try it. It took the money but it didn't process the food, we got frustrated and just ended up getting something else. I tried my noodles and it was ok. The broth was salty, but the noodles were good. The chashu was passable. Overall, trying it once was enough for us, luckily the money didn't process and we got it back.

It’s pretty cool to check out once. There are two choices on the menu, tonkatsu and miso. Have to admit that both tasted decent - broth, meat and fixings were all pretty good. The noodles itself seemed a little bland. I understand that this is SF, but I would say $11 is overpriced.
