The Meat House

A gift card finally brought me to The Meat House, but I’m happy to report that I will be happily returning sometime in the future with my own cash. What a fabulous meal. My friend and I ordered an incredibly juicy 1/2 pound burger with bacon, caramelized onions, bacon and garlic aioli. The meat quality is top notch, easily recognizable upon the first bite. Plenty of napkins need to be at the ready as burger juices run down your hands and wrists. Burger comes with delicious, crispy fries. Fries are well seasoned and hot! Along with the burger, The Meat House is known for their tri-tip steak sandwiches! The sandwich came with bacon, onions and garlic aioli. Excellent toasted bread held all this deliciousness and the toasting of the bread to keep from getting soggy from all the juices!!! All in all a great food experience and I will definitely return!

We bought $200 worth of food and drinks. I asked my partner to get forks and knives for it. He asked the person at the counter, who called someone ELSE over, who told him “we don’t just give them away to anyone.” Turns out, they were just on the counter… for anyone to easily take. Seems a little targeted… He also asked what he’s going to do with the utensils 🤔

I have to say, I was pretty disappointed in their selection. I guess it could because of supply shortages but most of the cases looked completely empty and what they had in the display didn't look any better than what you could find in a regular supermarket. I was hoping to find some of the stuff that Fossil Farms offers or says is for sale here on their website but I didn't see anything. Was it in the back? I don't know, there weren't any signs or indication of any more offerings to be had. Maybe I caught them on a bad day or between deliveries, I was hoping to see more selection on Father's Day but it is what it is.

Don't go here unless you have 20-30 minutes to stand around and wait for someone to either take your order or ring you up, even if you're the only Customer in the building and there are 10 Employees behind the counter. It's been slow ever since I started working in Summit 10 years ago, but lately it's so much worse.
