Haven’t been to Peppercorn in years but was walking early morning in town and decided to stop. I ordered a def coffee, a waffle and sausage. Coffee was great, sausage very good, but the waffle was not cooked inside. Waitress was apologetic and offered to get me another waffle. Waffle came back again not cooked inside. The owner came to my table to yell at me which was loud enough for the next table to hear. Two stars are for the coffee, sausage, and the very nice waitress. Never again will I go there.

The fried food tastes like bitter, old oil. The cook handled taking table orders, carrying plates and cooked without washing hands in between. I mean I know it’s a diner but standards are standards. The stuff you can’t possible mess up is ok made.

Great diner! One of the many good ones in Summit! This town has the best diners IMO (I am biased cuz I grew up here). All three are good! I go to them all regularly!

were in the area and looking for a quick breakfast and found this... we ordered the lox bene and the traditional bene... couple of pancakes on the side... the benes were okay... my wife loved the hollandaise sauce while i find it just fine or maybe a tad bit below fine... the coffee was also lacking some character... not sure if itbwas already stale or what but i didn't feel like i was drinking coffee... the service though was good and fast... maybe it was just a slow day... i don't know...

Ordered French toast with sausage for breakfast and the sausage was horrible, the French toast was more like fried bread. Very disappointed, I saw so many great reviews and based on that I placed an order.

Had an appointment at Overlook hospital. Hospital staff asked us to come back for 2nd part of appointment. Grabbed breakfast at this small cozy spot. Very professional, polite and clean. Staff made us feel like family. Prices are great and the food was delicious. We plan to come back for lunch next time.

Well managed diner, even though I have lived in Summit for many years I have only visited it a couple of times and both filled my expectations, good food and all the staff seem to be in a very good working environment, great service from Melanie. Prices a bit on the high side but it is what you would expect everywhere in this town.
