I always get beef patties, jerk chicken and rice and peas. Today I was pleasantly surprised that they now have fresh coconut water. Great food, great service, wonderful people!

Great food... I live in Austin and we don't have anything like this up here. My family is from the Virgin Islands and so not having any real good home food has been a long time to come. I had the curry goat Roti, and my son had the oxtail with peas and rice and cabbage for the first time. He ate the entire plate and kept yelling about how amazing the food was and he's nine. The portions are great and the customer service is amazing I cannot tell you enough how nice and down home these people are. I will be making trips to Houston more often that is for sure.

First time visiting… read some negative reviews but decided that I would go try the food anyway. When my son and I went. There were 3 other customers ordering for take out. We ordered the large oxtail entree with rice and cabbage. Let me tell you, the oxtail was taste and tender! It was delicious! The rice was cooked with beans and fluffy. There was enough delicious sauce from the oxtail to coat the rice. The cabbage was a nice addition. We got a beef patty also-delicious! We will definitely go back. The cashier was friendly and the lady plating the take out boxes was nice.

Very good food here, a bit of a hidden gem. The service was great and I enjoyed talking with the ladies preparing and serving the food. Will definitely be back.

I just want to share my 100% superb experience with Love Birds. It was my 50th birthday celebration and I was undecided on menu until my daughter recommended them with rave reviews. Their food was the center of attention. Now I’m back getting a single dose a month later.😂😂😋😋 jerk shrimp, chicken baked macaroni and greens 😋😋

Great food and my go to spot for Jamaican food. I’ve tried other places in houston and have been disappointed, but Love Bird is pretty consistent. I usually get their small oxtail plate which is tender. And their beef patty is so good

Tried out a new spot today with my work peeps! It was really good! Had the Jerk Chicken with a side of rice and Mac and Cheese. Me and my fellow Mexican buddy said it looked a lot like Mexican molé. I also couldn't help but grab a Spicy Meat Patty on the way out.

Lol I’m here right now leaving my review. I’m a chef myself so I be worried about getting good food just as awesome as mine. Lol. But they got me beat on this place. The jerk chicken was enough I could have slapped somebody it was so good. And the young man that took my order was awesome also, greeted me with a smile and made sure I was taken cared of. Upon knowing he is the owner’s nephew made me appreciate this place all the more. I love family, so a family owned business was perfect. Please go and show this place some real love

My name Dre , if you are thinking about visiting love bird restaurant and undecided on where to try Jamaican food , this is you sign to go to love bird …. I came all the way from fifth ward to try it and I will be visiting again next week flavors are over the top perfect seasoning , very nice people and most of all authentic Jamaican food I love the whole crew they make me feel like family I will drive 45 min in traffic again for a jerk chicken plate shoutout to yall I love y’all keep up the good work
