We were looking for a local place for our date nights. This place doesn't disappoint. Love the interior design and the vibe was warm and welcoming. Quiet but not too quiet. Lovely options on the menu. They also have a full bar. I was glad the menu was not filled with deep fried dishes. Hard to find a place that makes their food with fresh wholesome ingredients. Their warm olive was delicious. That was a excellent appetizer with drinks. I ordered shrimp and grits and that's pbly the best one I have ever had. My husband was very happy with his pork entree. Proteins and vegetables are all perfectly done. Well seasoned, so much flavor, aroma, not overly salted, and fresh. We will definitely be back again.

I had always heard things about Harper's Table since 2015 and figured one day I would give them a try on 11/05/2021 since I want to support the City of Suffolk downtown local business. Well, it started as soon as we came up to the establishment. A couple of 4 were together and knew we were behind them and they didn't even try holding the door for us. We were greeted by the hostess and she looked surprised we were going to be dining in. My wife said something to me and we both had the same impression. We were seated and it took a minute for our drink order to be taken because of the short staffing and trying to serving and clearing tables as well as making drinks. Our waitress Harley B was polite and kind. She wasn't all familiar with the menu since the menu changes frequently and she had to go back to the kitchen to ask question. She did maintain a great attitude. It took a good amount of time for our drink order to come and a few of the requested drinks the bar didn't have. Our food order took a very long time to come. The food was tasty but you don't get what you pay for plus on your bill you will get charged an extra fee of 3.5% for using your credit card so be prepared to pay this fee if you decide to use your card. I would not recommend this unless you want to sit in and don't mind paying a high-end cost for slow service and food that you could get a more enjoyable lesser price.

Mixed thoughts about this place. We got the brussel sprouts, the pork belly biscuit, and I ordered the shrimp and grits. The brussel sprouts were dunked in some sort of sauce that made the tactile experience incredibly strange in my mouth, like I was eating an amniotic sac. They were just wet and weird and I wasn't in love with that. I was not super impressed with the flavor either. While the pork belly biscuit was good, I think I have eaten Oreos that are bigger. It is a tiny portion for $4. That being said, I LOVED the shrimp and grits. Honestly, it was amazing. The shrimp was very fresh and the peppers added the perfect amount of heat. After the appetizers I was not confident that it would live up to the price tag, but I can earnestly say that it was absolutely superb and exceeded my expectations. The sausage in there provided the perfect complement to the rest of the meal. It took about 30 minutes before we got our appetizers, and it took a good hour and fifteen minutes before we got the main dish. I understand that there is a labor shortage going on right now, but geez. It's not the staff's fault and I get that but you definitely don't get any points for that. All in all, I would recommend the shrimp and grits and that's it. Everything else about this place does not meet expectations.

This place is fantastic. I eat out quite often and I must say the farm to table concept here is done perfectly. Portions were good and everything was fresh. I had the fried flounder which was phenomenal. It was served over fries which I didn't eat all of because I'm trying to watch the carbs but it also had homemade coleslaw which was fantastic. We had the pork belly biscuit as an appetizer and that was outstanding. Drinks were also good and the mango sorbet dessert was just perfect. Although I live in Maryland, the next time I'm in this area I will definitely go back. 10 out of 10!

This was our go-to local spot and glad to be back after reopening! Pictured is the foie gras pate, peach glazed quail, and ice cream. The quail was amazing, but the creamed corn with butter beans and maters was out-of-this-world good. The ice cream sampler is always delicious and the cherry was best in show

On 4/23/22 our small wedding party of about 16 people arrived at the restaurant for dinner. We had reservations mind you, there was an area setup for us in the front of the restaurant. Our waitress was very nice but the service was horrible. It took us about 2.5 hours to recieved our food even though we all order from the menu. We saw food constantly going by us to people that arrived after we did. I also found the manager to be very rude. And the icing on the cake was our group problems during check-out The bills were all mixed up. I was charged $319.00 for a $104 bill. .I truly believe that our group which was a minority was treated differently then the other customers there. My advice would be to avoid this restaurant if you are a minority.

Had the absolute best time with Andrea! Food was astonishing, my mom, grandma and big cousin were blown away by the quality and the homemade nature of it all. Becca was the bartender for the shift and STG each and every cocktail was made to perfection. 10 stars ⭐️
