Outback Steakhouse

Good food at a more than fair price. I very much enjoyed going to this Aussie themed restaurant. Only negative was the service was solidly average at best. But moving on, the blooming onion is a classically great appetizer. It’s a suitable preamble to your meal when you’re with a group of people because it definitely could serve at least 4-6 people by itself. The drinks are very eye catching. They get very creative in that area and they taste great. The entree was equally as good as the appetizers and the drinks. You’d be hard pressed to find a restaurant with food that is equally good for the same price.

The Outback at this location ws as exceptional for the chain. Fine, attentive, service (our glasses were never empty). I like my new steak rare and, historically, that has been a problem for me in chain restaurants at this level. Not here. We experienced a problem with my wife's meal but it was handled quickly and thoroughly by the friendly, manager. In sum, a chain restaurant that made us feel as though we were dining in a small, private restaurant.

I normally enjoy Outback, the food is solid and consistent and there are fun things on the menu. However, this particular Outback has some of the worst wait staff I've ever experienced. I've been there twice and I think I would only go back for take out. Both times we waited about 20 minutes for a table even tho there were plenty of open tables. Fine, maybe they don't have enough staff. Then, both times, we waited over 15 minutes for the waiter to come to our table. Food then took forever to come out, entrees came out before apps, orders were wrong, etc. Both times it was the same experience and both times there were too many oversights and errors to make eating there worth it. So, I like Outback but I can't recommend avoiding this location enough. It's not worth the hassle or the frustration.

My husband and I frequented this Outback in Suffern NY since it opened. We became unhappy not with the staff but with the food and cleanliness. Today was out first time back in many years. We were more than pleasantly happy with the food and cleanliness. Kathy the manager was professional and very friendly and exceptionally helpful when we asked her to help us choose what would satisfy our palate. Her suggestions could not have been better. Out meal was perfect in every way. Marlal Freeman was charming and funny both were a pleasure to meet. Our waitress Linda was wonderful. We all took a photo together. It was a great evening!!!

7:30pm When my fiancee and I arrived we were promptly greeted and she showed us to a seat, however my wheelchair didn't fit between customers that were already sat. Instead of helping us, the greeter kept going and waited for us. Thankfully customers moved so we could get through. Over 10 minutes after sitting at the table, we left. No one acknowledged that we were there or even brought us any water.
