Max's Gourmet Bagels

The bagels were great! The service was definitely not! My server did not even smile! A bug ran under the bagels on the bottom shelf, that hasn't been cleaned in some time as to the amount of seeds left in the case at 8:30 in the morning. I leaned in closer and whispered to her that a bug just ran under the egg bagels, as I did not want to upset anyone else, and she ignored me! The phone was ringing at least 2 minuets if not more! When I asked for a dozen, she gave me half. When I mentioned that I wanted a full dozen, she said, " Well, what other ones do you want?" Customer service is not a high priority here!

I dont know why this place was voted #1 bagels in the east coast. But it definitely is not. To start off, the had 4 bagel choices to choose from during lunch. Orange Cranberry , Cinnamon, Pumpernickel, and Jalapeno. Not even a regular bagel to choose from. They girl said that's all we have. See the pictures below. Second, the girl left my debit card in the machine and walked of to the back to make my bagel, came back , gave me my new Yorker bagel sandwich and the payment still wasn't processed, by this time I sat down ate half of my bagel sandwich and she said sorry , our machine is slow. I said yeah very slow , has that been reported? Then she said it was declined, and asked I had cash, I said no, she put the card through again and then it went through after a bit. From the time she went to the back to make my bagel my card had already been in the machine till the time I almost finishing my meal. 15 MINUTES to process a payment. My meal came out to $12.80 for a drink, a tiny bag of kid size chips, and a bagel sandwich. I should have gone next door to subway ,literally next door and ate a complete meal for half the price. Mind you this place for being #1 rated in the east coast is definitely a 1 Star rating. This place was empty and I sat alone in the place which I think if it was #1 rated people would coming from all over. Dont be fooled by the sign.

The chicken salad is addicting. I always get it on a jalapeño bagel before a long shift at work. Only complaints: 1.) Kind of expensive for a bagel & bag of chips. (Almost $8, no drink included) 2.) The chicken salad runs out pretty fast, so sometimes I make a trip over there only for them to tell me they’re out): Other than that, it’s pretty delicious with a nice atmosphere & nice people

Rudest place in Stuart! Avoid! Go anywhere else they have been “ hiring” for months no wonder who the hell would work with those crotchety old bitties! Then I called to complain she hung up On me when I asked to speak to a manager then I called back over & over she would not answer the phone April 20 2022 nasty old grouchy ugly inside and out ladies work there
