La Forchetta

This is a nice 👍🏿 place to eat if you like authentic Italian. The portions were very large. The bread 🍞 they have before your meal is very good, I probably ate a couple bowls. Dakota was a dynamite server he was like a genie in the bottle. He was bringing food from the kitchen so fast it was like he changed into Superman. Chris is counterpart would help while Superman went on missions elsewhere. The food was exceptional but I need to eat at other restaurants that serve Italian food to be a true judge of the food. I do know the appetizers served a table of eight 8️⃣ with everyone getting their share. The atmosphere was very nice. I use a walker to get around and they had a table for my family within six 6️⃣ steps from the front 🚪 door. My sister-in-law goes to many restaurants in South Florida most of the time we call her a pain in the butt when dining with her because she returns everything that she eats. This is a remarkable moment because she didn't return one item on her plate. Her and her sister are food critics and knows how something is supposed to taste. Janay my daughter goes once a week to this restaurant. All the desserts were excellent each of us ordered something different so we could all taste the greatness of the food. This is truly a hidden gem that is hidden on Lost River road.

We sat in the small bar area with a view of the well-run kitchen and pizza ovens. The controlled chaos is really an art-form here. The employees all work as a team making sure every table is greeted and served as though it were their own home dining room. If you were seated in the dining room, you would miss all of this. There, it's quaint, quiet and authentically Italian. Rita was our server. She was attentive, friendly and made great recommendations! James, the bus boy/assistant is always running and making sure things run smoothly, offering extra garlic knots when needed, boxing up leftovers and whatever else we needed. We ordered an entree and a pizza, both were great! My pasta was hot, fresh and perfectly cooked and it tasted amazing with even ratios of cheese/sauce/pasta. The pizza was also great and was delivered hot out of the oven with stretchy cheese, thin, New York style crust and also the perfect ratios of cheese/toppings and crust. We are just in town for the weekend, but would return weekly if we were local. This is the kind of place that will learn your name and welcome you back as family every time you walk through the door!

Delicious gluten free gnocchi and bread! My husband and son loved the spaghetti with meat sauce. Flavors were amazing. Our waitress, Francesca, was very warm and welcoming. She was knowledgeable about the menu and very prompt. We stopped on the way to Miami and this was a great find. Hope to come back soon!

We were traveling home to Jacksonville from Key West and thankfully got off at this exit on 95 in Stuart. Looked at maps and found a Holiday Inn Express with a 1 minute walk to LaForchetta. Absolutely glad we did! This lovely family restaurant is so quaint and very homey. Everyone was so nice and helpful. But the cuisine was out of this world!! I have been to a number of excellent Italian Restaurants and I must say this is the best ever. We started with the clams and mussels and you have a choice of four ways to prepare. The garlic knots for dipping made it extra special. My wife had the lobster ravioli almandine and there was no skimping on the lobster meat with each bite. I had one of the specials, a chicken scalopinni with prosciutto with a cream thyme sauce. Taste buds were in heaven! Thank you Francesca for serving us!

This review is overdue ! A couple of months ago we had family from out of state. We had food catered from here which was absolutely fabulous!! Rosalie was awesome and very accommodating. Wish they had this restaurant in New Jersey! I’m craving those dishes! Thank you for a great experience! Sheri
