My experience wasn’t the best here. Went to eat out with some friends and nobody was satisfied with their food. If I had to pick one meal that was so so, it would have to be the gnocchi with prosciutto. Beef wasn’t even the correct cut of the cow filled veins, chicken was made so simple that you could serve it for 3 days and instead of promised noodles were couscous. Parmigiana cheese decoration on Cezar salad wasn’t made the same day and was as stale as one could imagine. Have to leave 2 stars since we had no issue with our waitress. But service isn’t everything and food wasn’t up par. Don’t bother with the deserts. 😞

1 star from me because it won't allow me to do no stars. We used to eat here all the time. It was the best restaurant on the mountain. Unfortunately, with the new management it has taken a grave turn for the worse. It's horrible and horribly over priced. My wife ordered a glass of chardonnay that was measured and $26! I can buy a decent bottle of chardonnay for $26. The menu is limited and what we ordered was inedible. I miss the old menu and chef. The lighting and ambience are terrible. Not to mention, the bowls and the silverware are right from the base lodge. Sad to say, but the food is comparable to lunch in the base lodge. It's very disappointing as I would eat at Verde on a weekly basis. I definitely won't be returning and suggest you go elsewhere until they make some major changes. Very sad as this was a mainstay on the hill.

We have been eating at Verde for more than 10 years and had the chance this weekend to introduce a few of our friends to Verde. After reading a review from a recent diner, I was immediately concerned that I had made the wrong choice for dinner as this person complained of the quality of the food following a change in management. Whatever those issues may have been a month ago, I can assure you that Verde did not disappoint — an amazing meal for 8 of us with a great atmosphere and terrific service.

Popped in for dinner one night with no reservation. They found us a great two-top by the bar and we got great service. Everything we ordered was delicious (Caesar Salad, Pork Belly and their Ahi Tuna special). Will definitely be back.

I’m only giving it 2 stars because the drinks were decent. Unfortunately this place has completely gone in the wrong direction. My family used to eat here every Christmas Eve for years until recently. We ate here the other day the menu was small and limited for both wine and beer. What we got was below average at best. Combine this experience with the insanely high prices and it’s a place you should avoid. There’s so many restaurants 20 minutes off the mountain towards Manchester that are 20x better. Not to mention they’re owned by locals rather than Stratton corporate.

Our reservations for Snowcat got cancelled and they accommodated us at Verde. We had to sit at the kitchen bar but it was wonderful! The staff treated us incredible! Especially Alan the bartender. We couldn’t have asked for a better time! Our new favorite place at Stratton!

Unfortunately this restaurant was bought by Stratton and is no longer the same verde. It has a small menu and the food was overcooked and bland. Even the ambiance was not the same, bright lighting, cheesy table cloths. Sad to see old verde go, wish they had kept the same chef. The servers were great, but unfortunately that doesn’t make up for the menu being small, basic and the food being pretty inedible frankly and overpriced considering they kept verde prices but got rid of the great chef.

This restaurant has the potential to be the best restaurant with its' location and excellent food. Unfortunately, management is horrible. We called to make reservations for Christmas Eve and the manager told us they were booked. We stopped in for a drink and the restaurant was EMPTY! The guy behind the service bar, Allen, was making extremely condescending remarks about other employees and customers who had walked out. Upper management needs to make some changes or this place is doomed.
