This is our new go-to spot! Delicious food, good drinks and friendly staff. I love the local touches, the country music and the decor. It's such a unique location, like no other place I've been. Everywhere you look there are little details that pay homage to NH which makes it such an interesting space! My husband and I have already been there 3 times and I've gone on a girls night and in all 4 times I haven't experienced any wait time, even though it was totally packed! We were greeted promptly, drinks came fast and the food shortly after. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, it is truly a wonderful place! My family and I will be returning customers for sure!
This place is more then a restaurant. I believe the Tailgate Tavern has set some roots to become what Applebees was truly after, a neighborhood bar and grill.
The food is simple and tasty, the environment is fun, the staff is committed and engaged, and the experience is one worth returning. I believe when assessing a restaurant one should compare Apples to Apples. Compared to any franchise, corporate chain, or sports bar around this place is head and shoulders above the rest. :)
Great food, great service and great prices! I love going to Tailgate with friends for a beer or family for a yummy meal. It's very clean (including the bathroom), the environment is casual, not too dark and plenty of extra room. The bar is great. Buffalo chicken mac & cheese is delicious!
Good food.... but I still hate the pretzel bread..always so dry. Staff were attentative and nice. Fairly priced.
Great food!! Had a Burger n Fries.. n OMG my burger was Awesome!! Candied Bacon.. Fried Onion Rings.. n a Big Fat Juicy Burger!! Mmm Really Really Good!! (Lettuce n Tomatoe too)
Good food and service, although Mac and cheese was very runny, like Mac and cheese soup. Burgers are very good.
Follow up: It was served in a hot skillet, and once it cooled it thickened up and was pretty good!
Came in and ordered a Reuben To-Go, had it in less than 10 minutes.
Still hot when I got back home and man it was delicious!
Can't wait to go back to this restaurant, glad to see it open during the pandemic. Everything was sanitary and looked clean.
Despite how busy it was the waitstaff was very attentive. The food came out quickly and was cooked perfectly. Overall very good meal and experience. Even had a rep from a brewery handing out samples of beer.
The Tailgate Tavern and Gibbs Garage are owned by the same family. The restaurant is decorated with a pickup truck theme. The menu includes soups, salads, sandwiches and a few full meals. I had the marinated steak tip sub and fries it was delicious. My friend chose the fish and chips, very good choice. It had two good sized peices of fish, fries and coleslaw. The food came to the table very hot, you could tell the chief timed the food service to insure all the food was done at the same time. No one complained about that. I have no complaints about the restaurant, maybe a little loud for older folks, but we all enjoyed the place.
