The Roost

Great restaurant inside Topnotch resort. I love the set up of this place, they have outside dining with fire ongoing for cold evening. Great service and food is amazingly delicious, all worth it visiting this place. Ahi tuna nachos must try, so good to start also that salmon in risotto, yum! And make some room for Blueberry tart for dessert, omg! Thumbs up! Thank you for the service. Stay safe

Clean and well maintained place. Friendly and professional staff. Can be a little difficult to get their attention when it gets busy. Good food. The breakfast seems to be a bit overpriced compared to what's available in the cafes in the village about 4 miles from the resort. All precautions are taken for COVID.

Decent food, with kind of a cool vibe (including a shuffleboard table), but they were out of 2 beers I tried to order, and when I ordered the Cuban sandwich with no pickles, they said they couldn't do that because the sandwiches are already pre-made, which was a little bizarre/disconcerting--you'd expect that at a gas station convenience store or a snack bar, not a restaurant with table service. The food still tasted good, though. Fine option for a bite if you're staying at Top Notch, but I wouldn't necessarily come here otherwise.

Give it a pass. When you have a small-scale menu and you charge those kind of prices, the food - and service - should be on point. Unfortunately, the food is completely irrelevant and instantly forgettable. And the service is beyond slow. It took 25 minutes for every dish to arrive. When they did, everything was lukewarm at best. Prices are absurdly high for the overall quality of the dining experience. If you like roadside diner fares at gastropub prices this is for you. If not, Stowe has many, many better options.
